Inspection Procedure 1.1. The devices and parts must be inspected for cleanliness before assembly. 1.1.1. Look carefully for any metal shavings within the threads 1.1.2. If there is contamination and/or metal shavings, do not use the parts. Contact the Bevi Quality team if unacceptable parts are found. |

Assembly Procedure 2.1. Tape Fittings 2.1.1. Apply 2-3 turns of tape around the threads 2.1.2. Applying tape in the wrong direction will result in the tape balling up during fitting installation. 2.1.3. Ensure there is no tape overlapping the fitting opening. |
2.2. |
Install fittings 2.2.1. Finger tighten the fittings onto the backflow preventer, one fitting per side. 2.2.2. Using a wrench, tighten the fittings an additional 2-3 full turns. 2.2.3. The fittings can be hand/wrench tightened while installed on the machine if they leak during testing. |
