Overview
This article explains how to edit unit registration information using The Well, to ensure that machines (units) are correctly linked to the right partner, customer/location, and installation status details. Registration normally is completed onsite during machine installation, but corrections may be needed for errors, typos, or updates. In some situations, manual registration (adding a unit) may still be needed.
Important: To transfer or move a machine to a different customer, refer to this guide first. Do NOT change registration info as a way to transfer a unit to a new customer installation.
Please note that each Bevi machine is called a 'unit' on The Well. Registering a Bevi unit creates a record that links all current partner, customer, and status information with that specific machine installation.

Adding Unit Manually (Less Common)
Most Bevi machines now complete unit registration on-screen during installation. This means registration information usually only needs to be edited or updated in The Well, as shown above.
Some units may still require manual registration to be added. In those cases, follow these steps:
Task 1: Enter machine serial number in the Add Unit popup
- Navigate to the Installed page by selecting it from the top bar on The Well.
- Select the ⊕ Add Unit button to the right.
- Enter machine serial number in the popup window, and click Continue.
- This will search existing registration entries first to help catch any duplicates.
Task 2: Resolve any duplicates found
If duplicates are found, one of the messages below will display. If not, proceed with Task 3.
- If an incorrectly registered unit is found, an error message displays.
- Please contact Bevi Support at support@bevi.co or 866-704-2384 (BEVI) to resolve this issue.
- If an existing registered unit is located, a link will be displayed in the popup. Click the link to go to that unit's page, where you can make any edits to the information as needed.
Task 3: Enter and verify all information
If the machine serial number isn't found, proceed to complete the required fields.
- Confirm correct Partner and Branch in the dropdowns, and select Continue.
- Edit the Unit Name, Location, and Contact fields.
- Important: Use a clear name to help easily identify this machine. Review our recommended best practices for naming above, or learn more here ↗.
- Select Continue when done.
- Complete the fields as needed to complete registration. Enter this information carefully and verify it's accurate, as incorrect entries can cause registration to fail.
- Fill in Status, Install Date, and Touchscreen ID.
- Double-check Machine Serial Number. It should carry over from your entry at the start.
- (Optional) Enter OptConnect Serial # or External ID, if using these.
- Select the Add Unit button to complete and save registration.
