How to Swap the CO2 Tank for CT 1.5

Overview

This guide provides the step by step procedure for replacing the CO2 tank for a Bevi Countertop 1.5.

Required Tools & Parts 

  • Replacement 5, 10, or 20 lb. CO2 Tank
  • 1-1/8” or Adjustable Wrench
  • Small bucket or water collection container.  

Swap Procedure

Task 1: Access the Service Panel.

  1. Touch the service (gear) icon at the top left corner of the screen.
  2. Touch "Start Service".
  3. Enter the PIN to enter the Service Panel.

Task 2: Start the CO2 Tank Swap Wizard.

  1. From the Service Panel, tap the button to Restock the CO2 tank.
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the CO2 replacement.

Task 3: Remove the old CO2 Tank.

  1. Open the cabinet doors and locate the old CO2 tank to be replaced. 
  2. Close the CO2 tank by completely turning the knob clockwise until it stops turning..  
  3. Using a 1-1/8” or adjustable wrench, disconnect the hose from the CO2 tank by turning the nut counter clockwise.
  4. Unbuckle the nylon tank strap that holds the tank in place.  
  5. Remove the CO2 tank. 
  6. Touch Continue.

Task 4: Install the new CO2 Tank. 

  1. Place the new CO2 tank in the cabinet. 
  2. Buckle and secure the strap. 
  3. Hand tighten the nut onto the tank, rotating clockwise. 
    • Ensure the CO2 washer is inside the nut. 
  4. Completely tighten the nut onto the tank with 1-1/8” or adjustable wrench. 
  5. Slowly rotate the tank know one full turn counter-clockwise to open the tank. 
    • Once the tank is opened, the new tank should be detected, and the “Continue” button will be highlighted. 
    • If the CO2 tank is not detected, verify the tank is open, and a new full tank was installed. 
  6. Touch Continue.

Task 5: Select Tank Size.

  1. Select the appropriate tank size option.  
    • Countertop 1.5 models can use a 5, 10, or 20 lb. CO2 tank. 
  2. Touch Save.

Task 5: Purge Sparkling Water.

  1. Place a small bucket or container under the nozzle. 
  2. Confirm the CO2 tank is open.
  3. Tap the play button to start the CO2 purging process. 
    • Purging takes approximately 25 seconds, and sparkling water will be dispensed periodically. 
  4. Inspect the sparkling water to ensure bubbles are present.
  5. Touch Finish Swap.
