- Confirm Compact Chiller Ventilation
- CO2 Regulator Sensor Cable Orientation
- Check All Chiller Rear Connections
✅ Confirm Compact Chiller Ventilation
The compact chiller requires its lower ventilation grate to remain clear and properly vented, per the standard installation instructions ↗. The compact chiller will malfunction if its grate is blocked.
Use one of the approved alternative ventilation methods ↗ if the cabinet can't support the standard ventilation requirements.
Double-check that:
- ...The compact chiller is aligned and exhaust air is venting outside the cabinet, per our standard or approved alternative installation instructions.
- ...The chiller is not sitting directly on the floor or base of the cabinet.
- ...The ventilation grate under the front of the chiller is clear, not blocked or restricted, and air is freely moving out of the cabinet.
✅ CO2 Regulator Sensor Cable Orientation
Check that the sensor cable connector from the CO2 regulator is seated and latched properly, with the sensor cable's latch facing upward. This connection is located beneath the CO2 Access Panel on the Compact Chiller.
To remove the CO2 Access Panel, loosen 2x captive Philips screws, and lift up on panel.
Double check that:
- The sensor cable connector latch is on top, facing upward, when plugging in as shown below.
- The two cable wires are oriented at the bottom of the connector when latched properly.
✅ Check All Chiller Rear Connections
It is critical to ensure the rear connection tubes are pushed all the way in to avoid leaks. Ensure that all tubes are pushed in fully into the push-to-connect (PTC) connectors.
Double-check that:
- The rear Water In 3/8" connection is fully seated and pushed up all the way.
- All tubes are routed up through the retention grommet holes to the PTC connector elbows.
- All PTC fittings have the red locking clip installed.
