Energy Saver Mode for the Standup 2.0 reduces energy consumption by disabling Chilled, Sparkling, and Hot water dispensing during scheduled hours, while Ambient filtered water and flavors remain available at all times. When Energy Saver Mode is active, users are notified onscreen and can choose to pour an ambient drink, or temporarily deactivate the mode for the rest of the day.
This feature helps conserve energy during periods of low demand, such as overnight or on weekends. Technicians can configure Energy Saver Mode during installation, and can adjust the schedule at any time using the onscreen Service Panel or remotely via The Well.

What Happens During Energy Saver Mode
When Energy Saver Mode is active, the machine displays a screen indicating it is saving energy (shown above). The screen dims, and the nozzle LEDs pulse blue at a lower brightness. Chilled, Sparkling, and Hot water dispense options are disabled and greyed out. Ambient filtered water and flavors remain available at all times.
Users can:
- Press the “Pour ambient” button to dispense ambient filtered water or flavored drinks.
- Press the “Deactivate today” button to temporarily disable Energy Saver Mode for the rest of the day, which turns the heater and chiller back on.
Timeline of the Energy Saver Sequence
- 3 hours before Energy Saver Mode starts: The ice bank gradually starts to be used up. Drinks remain cold.
- At the set start time: The "Saving Energy" screensaver and options appear, the screen is dimmed, and the nozzle LEDs are dimmed and pulse blue. The heater and chiller turn off.
- 1.5 hours before the set end time: The chiller turns back on.
- 30 minutes before the set end time: The heater turns back on.
- When Energy Saver Mode ends: The machine returns to normal operation with standard screensaver, full dispense options, and regular screen and nozzle LED brightness.
