Overview
These instructions and the RMA Repackaging Kit for the Standup 2.0 (P/N #550-0073) ensure that returned units arrive back to Bevi in a safe and protected manner. Following this guide helps avoid damage, which can incur a fee.
Required Tools, and Materials
-
Bevi Repackaging kit 550-0073 includes the following
- 2x moving blankets
- 3x shipping straps
- 1x pallet (solid top, 31" x 31")
- 1x freeze indicator
- 3x corrugated shipping pads (flat packed)
We recommend this repackaging to be completed by two people, especially during loading and placement of the shipping pads under the unit.
- NOTE: The repackaging process requires moving the Standup 2.0 onto the provided pallet. This can be done either by a rolling cart or a ramp, which are not included in the kit.
- NOTE: Masking tape or packaging tape is required, and are not included in the kit.
What if I don't have the original pallet from the kit on hand?
Use a solid-top pallet that is at least 31" x 31", and is suitable for moving straps to tightly secure the machine in the center. A solid top is required to avoid wheel damage.
Repacking Procedure
Task 1: Move the Standup 2.0 onto the Pallet
Ensure decommissioning was completed fully, so no water or flavor remains in the machine and its status in The Well has been updated properly.
Before repackaging the Standup 2.0, the unit must be moved onto the provided pallet using one of the two following methods:
Moving Method 1: Using a Rolling Cart
- Position an appliance cart or hand-truck behind the rear of the machine.
- NOTE: Make sure the cart/hand-truck is appropriate for moving this type and size of machine.
- Use moving blankets or foam supports, together with safety straps, to secure the machine to the appliance cart.
- Wheel the Bevi to the edge of the pallet.
- Carefully tip the machine onto the cart. Roll the cart slowly and carefully up the front edge of the pallet.
- Continue to wheel the cart to the opposite edge of the pallet.
- Carefully tip the cart and machine forward until the machine is fully resting on the floor.
- NOTE: Two people recommended.
- Remove the safety straps and carefully pull the dolly out and away from the Bevi.
- Use the wheels of the Bevi to center the unit on the pallet.
Moving Method 2: Using a Ramp
- Place a pallet ramp next to the pallet on the ground.
- Grasp the side handles of the 2.0 and carefully wheel the unit up the ramp and onto the pallet's solid top, using the machine’s built-in wheels.
Task 2: Place the freeze indicator.
- Once the Standup 2.0 is placed and centered on the pallet, place the adhesive freeze indicator on the top back panel centered between both sides.
- The freeze indicator is placed in the center of the back panel to avoid damage from the shipping straps.
Task 3: Fold and place cardboard pads.
- Obtain the 3x corrugated cardboard pads, which are shipped flat.
- Bend the pads in an accordion style along the perforations.
- The cardboard pads should now be brick shaped.
- Use tape to maintain the pads in their folded brick shape.
| Pad #1: 22" x 10" |
|
|
| Pad #2: 12" x 4" | ||
| Pad #3: 15" x 5" |
- Tilt the machine to slide pad #1 (22” x 10”) between the front and rear wheels.
- Tilt the machine to the side to push the pad halfway through.
- Tilt the machine to the rear and slide the pad the rest of the way between the wheels.
- From the front, tilt the machine towards the rear and place pad #2 (12” x 4”) between the front wheels and beneath the door.
- From the rear, tilt the machine forward and place pad #3 (15”x5”) between the rear wheels.

Task 4: Wrap front and back with moving blankets.
- Use one moving blanket to wrap half of the Bevi, and secure in place with tape.
- Use another moving blanket to wrap the remainder of the Bevi, and secure with tape.
Task 5: Secure with shipping straps.
-
Run one (1x) shipping strap around the middle of the machine to hold the moving blankets in place.
-
Run two (2x) shipping straps side-by-side over the top of the machine, securing each strap through the pallet.
-
Position both straps to avoid pinching the freeze indicator.
-
-
Tighten all straps fully, and tie off any excess.
