Whenever you are experiencing an unexpected leak, it is important to shut off the water and power to the Bevi unit, while waiting a technician to come on site.
Shutting Off the Water and Power for Standup Units
1. To shut off the water, locate the shutoff valve behind the Standup unit. Turn the valve until the valve handle is perpendicular to the black water line.
If you can't reach the shutoff valve behind the Bevi unit, trace the black water line from the Bevi unit to the water source coming from the area where the unit sits. Usually, this water source is underneath the sink. Close that water valve by turning the valve until the valve handle is perpendicular to the water piping, or turn the valve clockwise until it's fully shut. Sometimes, the water source could also come from valves that look like the below.
2. To shut off the power, find the black power switch behind the Bevi unit. Change the switch to the open or circle icon.
If you can't reach the power switch behind the Bevi unit, trace the black power cord from the Bevi unit to the local outlet or local power strip from the area where the unit sits. Either unplug the black power cord or turn off the local power strip.
Shutting Off the Water and Power for Countertop Units
1. To shut off the water, open the cabinets below the Countertop unit. Locate the water filter and look for a nearby shutoff valve that looks like the following, and turn the valve until the valve handle is perpendicular to the black water line.
If you can't locate the shutoff valve, trace the black water line from the Bevi unit to the water source coming from the area where the unit sits. Usually, this water source is underneath the sink. Close that water valve by turning the valve until the valve handle is perpendicular to the water piping, or turn the valve clockwise until it's fully shut. Sometimes, the water source could also come from valves that look like the below.
2. To shut off the power, locate the two power plugs for the Countertop head unit and the carbonator. They should be plugged into a power strip or directly to the wall. Unplug both power plugs or turn off the power strip.
