Double BiB'ing Overview
Reasons to Double BiB: If you have customers that go through one flavor or enhancement rapidly, you can now use the ‘Double BiBbing’ feature on all machine models to make sure a customer doesn’t run out as frequently, and to help you reduce truck rolls.
As dispensing occurs, concentrate is pulled from the two boxes equally. This means that when swapping a double-BiB, you should replace both at the same time. Always install two boxes with the same expiration dates to ensure lot traceability and minimize waste.
Standup 2.0
DOES NOT require any separate accessories. The machine will automatically digitally combine two BiBs of the same flavor to one icon on the display screen. Double-BiB’ing does reduce the number of on-screen flavor/enhancement options, so Bevi recommends limiting double-BiB’ing to no more than 2 flavors or 2 slots in a machine sold with 8 options.
In the example below, Vitamin Boost is double-bibbed, and the machine has [7] options on the display screen.
All other machines types (Standup 1.5, 0.75, and Countertop):
These machine types require some additional steps to set up double-BiB'ing. See below for detailed instructions.
During the flavor swap process, a 'Double Boxes' checkbox can be selected in the onscreen Service Panel of these machines to indicate the installation of two boxes with the same flavor or enhancement.
Getting Started
1. Identify Opportunities to Double-BiB:
The high- and low-usage icons on the Well unlock the ability to understand a customer’s drink preferences. Look for the up-arrow next to the name of a flavor or enhancement on a machine's unit view to quickly identify recommended for double-BiB'ing.
Filters can also help quickly identify recommended units to double-BiB.
- From the Installed page of The Well, locate the Unit View section. Click the Filters button.
- Choose Flavor Usage from the Filters list to select and view all units with high usage flavors.
- For example, in the image below, Watermelon was replenished 4 times in a 2 month period.
2. Confirm the machine type & requirements:
This is important because additional parts may be required, and depend on machine type. The Standup 2.0 will digitally double BiB.

✓ Requires Y Connector Kit ✓ Requires BIB Trays for shelves, as boxes won't fit side-by-side. |
✓ DOES NOT require separate accessories. The SU 2.0 automatically combines two BIBs of the same flavor digitally, and will draw from one and then the other. |
3. Order accessories and supplies:
The Bevi Double-BiB 'Y Connector' and flavors/enhancements can be purchased on the Bevi Storefront at orders.bevi.co

Installation
Prepare for Installation:
- Access the flavor and enhancement boxes within the machine or cabinet.
- Remove and discard the old flavor connector.
- Install the Y Connector Kit to the flavor line.
For Standup 1.5:
The Standup 1.5 machines have angled flavor shelves, and require the use of BiB trays to fit two per shelf. Carefully remove the flavor or enhancement concentrate bags from the cardboard outer boxes to get started.
- Place the concentrate bag in the tray & ensure the nozzle is facing downwards (orient with nozzle below bag seam).
- Use a rubber band to secure the bag of concentrate.
- Insert the tray into the desired slot, and repeat for the other BiB.
For Standup 1.0 or 0.75:
The Standup 1.0 or older machines have flat flavor shelves. Place the two flavors or enhancement boxes next to each other on a shelf.
For Countertop:
If installing in a Countertop, we recommend stacking the Double BIBs to make swapping easier. Consider the use of a shelf organizer like this one to keep the area neat and easy to service.
- Screw on the new flavor connectors on each box .
- Ensure it is securely connected and there is no dripping.
- Confirm that each box is installed upright, as shown.
Onscreen Entry in the Service Panel
- In the machine's onscreen Service Panel, choose the slot the Double BIB flavors will be installed.
- Click ‘Restock’ for that slot.
- Select “flavor or enhancement” from the drop down menu, then enter the ‘Best by Date’ for the first box.
- Then, mark the checkbox for Double Boxes.
- If the second box has the 'Same Best By Date', also check that box, which will automatically populate the first box’s Best By Date.
- If the second box does not have the same Best by Date, then manually enter the Best By Date for the second box.
- Note: Do not install flavor boxes that are expired or with today’s date. The software will grey out the flavor when expired.
- After pressing CONFIRM, the Service Panel will display two icons of the same flavor or enhancement and a '(2)' next to the name for that slot, clearly indicating what has been double-boxed for the next person servicing the machine.
Remote Tracking via The Well
- After double boxing occurs correctly on a Bevi machine's Service Panel, The Well (well.bevi.co) will show the flavors or enhancements that have been double boxed by showing a '(2)' next to the flavor or enhancement name on the Units screen & Unit Detail screen.
- NOTE: For Standup 2.0 units, there is no “(2)” indicator since the software will combine like flavors automatically, and will list the flavors separately in their accurate slots.
- If a flavor or enhancement has been double boxed and was not reported on the Service Panel, Add/Edit Service can also be performed on The Well in the Unit Detail screen.
Notes on Inventory:
- Concentrate is dispensed equally from the two boxes, so inventory % will show how much is estimated to be left from both boxes. When both boxes are depleted, 0% 'Out' will be shown.
- If there were two different 'Best By Date's entered, the earlier date is displayed as the Best By Date (expiration) on the Service Panel and The Well. When the earlier date triggers, it will say ‘EXPIRED’ next to the flavor or enhancement name, at which point both boxes should be swapped in for new ones.
- Flavor and enhancement runout dates automatically account for two BIBs.
