This article details the installation procedure of a Waterdrop G3P800 Reverse Osmosis filtration system for use with the Bevi Standup 2.0. This RO system has been tested by the Bevi Engineers to validate its functionality with the Standup 2.0.
While the Standup 2.0 can work with RO systems that meet the minimum requirements, we recommend installation without additional upstream filtration systems. We’ve provided these guidelines to support customers still interested in using an RO system.

Pre-Install Site Requirements
-
Drain (required)
- The Waterdrop G3P800 RO system produces roughly 3 gallons of waste water to every 1 gallon of filtered water from its output.
- A dedicated drain is required to use this RO system with the Bevi.
- The waste drain tube can be run to a floor drain if available, or connected to a nearby sink drain using the supplied drain saddle.
WARNING: The optional Bevi Drain Kit (part # 720-0105) cannot be used for the RO drain. The Bevi Drain Kit cannot keep up with the volume of waste water produced by the RO system and will result in a leak.
-
3/8” Water Supply
- Verify that the water source can meet the minimum pressure and flow rate requirements.
Parameter | Acceptable Range |
Flow Rate (LPM) | 2.5+ lpm |
Pressure (psi) | 40 psi – 87 psi |

Installing the Reverse Osmosis System
Task 1: Disconnect the water supply.
- Locate the source water shut off valve and close.
- From the Bevi screen, pour cold water for 5 seconds to depressurize the supply line.
- Disconnect the 1/4” water supply tube from the inlet on the back of the Bevi.
Task 2: Connect to the water supply.
- Identify where the RO system will connect to the main water supply.
- If connecting to the existing Bevi water supply, you may need to adapt the fittings to accommodate the 3/8” input tubing for the RO system.
- If connecting to a water supply under a sink, install the feed water adapter included in the RO system as shown in the Waterdrop installation guide.
- Connect the 3/8” input tubing to the water supply.
Task 3: Position the RO system and Buffer Tank.
- Place the RO system near the machine’s water and power source.
- Place the Buffer tank downstream on the water path, between the RO system and the Bevi machine.
- If installing a remineralization filter, it should be placed between the Buffer Tank and the Bevi machine.
- Installation of a remineralization filter is not required for the RO system to function with the Bevi, but is recommended.
- Secure the Buffer Tank and remineralization filter (if applicable).
- Use mounting brackets or other supports to ensure the buffer tank and remineralization filter are secure and accessible for maintenance.
Task 4: Install the Buffer Tank fittings.
- Apply teflon tape to the Buffer Tank threads.
- Install the threaded 3/8” shut off valve to the Buffer Tank.
- Leave the valve in the OFF position.
- Connect the 3/8” stemmed tee fitting to the shut off valve.
- Connect the two 1/4” reducer elbows to the tee fitting.
Task 5: Plumbing the RO System.
- Connect the 3/8” tube from the water supply to the “INPUT” port on the RO system.
- Connect 1/4” tubing from the RO system’s “FILTERED” water port to the “IN” port of the UV Sterilizer.
- Connect 1/4” tubing from the UV Sterilizer output to the Buffer Tank.
- If a remineralizer is installed, connect the output of the Buffer Tank to the remineralizer input fitting.
- Connect 1/4” tubing to the remineralizer output.
- Leave this tube disconnected from the Bevi machine until a later step.
- Connect the red drain tube to the “WASTE” port on the RO system.
- Route the waste tube to the designated drain location.
Task 6: RO System startup and flushing.
- Route the output tube from the remineralizer to a sink or drain.
- If remineralizer is not being used, route the Buffer Tank output to sink or drain.
- Connect the power adapter.
- Plug in the power adapter to a power source.
- Connect power adapter to the RO system.
- Connect the UV sterilizer plug to the RO system.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to install each filter into the RO system.
- Power on the RO system.
- Turn on the supply water.
- The RO system will automatically start a flush procedure.
- Refer to the manufacturer’s installation manual for more information on the flushing procedure.
- Once flushing is complete, turn off the water supply.
Task 7: Connect to the Bevi machine.
- Connect the output of the Buffer Tank (or remineralizer) to the inlet on the Bevi.
- Open the water supply.
- Power on the Bevi machine.
- Inspect all plumbing connections for any leaks.
- Perform a complete functionality test.
- Dispense all water types to verify adequate dispense pressure and flow.
