OptConnect is Bevi’s 4G cellular solution for customer sites where internet connectivity is an issue. Watch the video for a comprehensive installation guide, or read more details in the article below.
Determining the Preset Cellular Carrier
The second letter in the OptConnect model number determines the carrier.
- H = AT&T
- E = Verizon
- P = Sprint
OptConnect Installation for V1.0

- Route the ethernet cord to the Optconnect modem and secure the cord to adjacent wires.
- Place the Optconnect modem on the top shelf of the Bevi.
- Plug in the power cord and adaptor to the modem and into the power outlet inside the Bevi (located behind the CO2 tank).
- Attach antennas onto the modem and route the antennas through the hole the back of the Bevi.
- A green light on the status bar indicates that the Optconnect is functioning properly.
- Power on the Bevi and enter the service panel.
- The network status will now be green and indicate that the network type is ETHERNET.
OptConnect Installation for V1.5
Each OptConnect box comes with an OptConnect modem, 1 antenna, spare ethernet cord(not used), power cord, power adapter, and installation guide.
This method allows for the antenna to be outside of the Bevi chassis for good reception, but all other components are located inside for safe keeping. The OptConnect also plugs into the Bevi itself instead of an external power outlet, so if the Bevi is on, the OptConnect is too.
- From the back of the Bevi chassis, pop the black ethernet connector out of the back panel and into the Bevi with your fingernail. It should now have an empty square hole.
- Unravel two lengths of each antenna cable from each cable tie.
- Feed both antenna cables into the empty square hole.
- Stick the magnetized base of the OptConnect antenna to the back of the Bevi chassis near the square hole.
- From the inside of the Bevi, take the black ethernet port off of the end of the blue ethernet cable. Discard the connector.
- Plug the power cord into the power adapter brick.
- Plug the power adapter cord into the OptConnect modem. There are two small fins on the end of the power adapter cord.
- Make sure to line them up and twist ¼ turn clockwise to lock the power adapter cord into the OptConnect modem socket. The plug should be flush after locking in place.
- Plug the power cord into the power outlet located behind the Co2 tank. The bottom outlet should be taken up by the carbonator power cord, with the top outlet free.
- Plug the blue ethernet cable into an ethernet port on the OptConnect modem and connect the two gold antenna nuts to the side. It does not matter which antenna cable goes to Main or Aux, or which ethernet port is used.
- Store the OptConnect modem in the top, back left, in the flavor line channel.
- The network status will now be green and indicate that the network type is ETHERNET.
