Overview
This guide covers the criteria for when the USB Cable Disconnected machine alert will fire, as well as the steps to troubleshoot the steps to resolve the issue or diagnose a potential component failure.
NOTE: The "USB Cable" in this alert refers to the internal USB connection between the CT 1.5 touchscreen and the Head Unit Control Board, all located inside the CT 1.5 head unit. This is not the same as the chiller data connection cable between the head unit and the back of the compact chiller; see Chiller Connection Lost Alert article for that troubleshooting.
Alert Details
USB Cable Disconnected - This alert is triggered when the USB connection between the Touchscreen and Head Unit Control board is lost for 5 consecutive minutes. When the cable is disconnected, you will immediately see a “BRB” message, and if the cable remains disconnected for 5 minutes, then the alert will fire. The USB cable is responsible for communication between the Touchscreen and Head Unit Control Board.
