Overview
This guide covers the criteria for when the Chiller Connection Lost alert will fire, as well as the steps to troubleshoot the steps to resolve the issue or diagnose a potential component failure.
CAUTION: Always power off the compact chiller completely before disconnecting the cables to the head unit to avoid damage to the chiller.

Alert Details
Chiller Connection Lost - This alert is triggered when the USB connection between the Compact Chiller and Head Unit Control board is lost. When the Compact Chiller connection is lost, the alert will fire immediately, and the machine will not function. Once the connection is restored, the alert will auto-resolve.

Troubleshooting Steps
- Power cycle the Bevi.
- Locate the power switch on the front of the compact chiller.
- Power off the Bevi, and wait 5-10 seconds.
- Power on the Bevi.
- Confirm if chiller is connected.
- If connected, alert will auto resolve.
- If not connected, alert will still be active, continue to next step.
- Reseat Chiller to Head Unit USB cable connection at back of chiller.
- Power off and unplug the chiller.
- Depress lock latch on chiller USB and disconnect.
- Inspect cable for any damage.
- If cable is damaged, replace this cable (FRU 111622-01 CABLE - HUB TO CHILLER).
- Reconnect cable to back of chiller, ensuring cable is fully seated and clicks into place.
- Plug in power cord and power on the Bevi,
- Retest connection.
- If connected, alert will auto resolve.
- If not connected, alert will still be active, continue to next step.
- Reseat Chiller to Head Unit USB connection on touchscreen.
- Power off the Bevi,
- Disconnect Power cord.
- Remove back panel.
- Remove 2 touchscreen mounting screws.
- Lift touchscreen off of head unit.
- Disconnect Chiller / Head Unit USB cable.
- Inspect cable for any damage.
- If cable is damaged, replace this cable (FRU 111622-01 CABLE - HUB TO CHILLER)
- Reconnect cable to touchscreen, ensuring cable is fully seated.
- Plug in power cord and power on the Bevi,
- Retest connection.
- If connected, alert will auto resolve.
- If not connected, alert will still be active, continue to next step.
- Check Chiller Panel Mount for BUC Board to HUB cable.
- If needed to remove chiller from cabinet, depressurize water system.
- Turn off water source.
- Close the buffer tank.
- Dispense still water until no water is coming out.
- Disconnect 3/8” water in line from back of chiller.
- Power off the chiller and unplug power cord.
- Slide chiller out of cabinet to access top panel.
- Remove top panel.
- Loosen 2 captive screws and lift up on panel to remove.
- Check panel mount for BUC to HUB USB cable.
- Ensure panel mount is fully seated and clicked into place at top back left corner of chiller.
- Double check that Chiller to Head Unit USB is fully seated on back of chiller.
- Plug in power cord and power on the Bevi.
- If needed to remove chiller from cabinet, depressurize water system.
- Retest connection.
- If connected, alert will auto resolve.
- If not connected, alert will still be active, continue to next step.
- Reseat BUC to HUB USB connection on BUC Board.
- Power off and unplug the power cord.
- Remove PCB panel on left side of chiller.
- Loosen 1x captive screw, and remove panel.
- Disconnect BUC to HUB USB cable at BUC Board.
- Inspect cable for any damage.
- If damaged, replace this cable: 111616-01 CABLE - BUCB TO HUB OUT
- Reconnect cable to BUC Board, ensuring cable is fully seated.
- Plug in power cord and power on the Bevi.
- Retest connection.
- If connected, alert will auto resolve.
- If not connected, alert will still be active, continue to next step.
- Cable/component may have failed, replace (in this order).
- 111622-01 CABLE - HUB TO CHILLER
- 111616-01 CABLE - BUCB TO HUB OUT
- 720-0329 FRU - BUCB - KIT
- 720-0327 FRU - COUNTERTOP V1.5 TOUCHSCREEN KIT / 720-0328 FRU - COUNTERTOP V1.5 TOUCHSCREEN KIT - BLACK
- Cable/component may have failed, replace (in this order).
