Procedure
Task 1: Prepare the Sanitization Solution
- Before starting, put on sanitary gloves.
-
In the 5-gallon bucket, prepare the chlorine-based sanitizer solution.
- Fill the bucket with 2.5 gallons of hot water (120°F - 140°F).
- Dissolve ONE 1-oz. packet of Chlorine Sanitizer in the hot water.
-
Once dissolved, dip your spray bottle into the bucket to fill the bottle.
- This will be used to clean various areas of the Bevi.
- Leave the remaining sanitizer in the bucket until finished as you will use this to soak certain parts of the Bevi.
Task 2: Start Sanitizing Flavor lines
-
On the screen, enter the Service Panel.
- Touch the Service icon, then “Start Service”, and enter PIN code: “1986”
-
Disconnect all 8 flavor connectors from the flavor boxes.
- Leave the flavor boxes in their respective slots to avoid reinstalling them incorrectly.
- TIP: Label the flavor boxes with their respective slot numbers to make reattachment easier.
-
Disconnect each flavor connector from the flavor lines.
- Disconnect the push-to-connect fittings on the connectors from the 1/4” stems.
-
Place all 8 flavor connectors into the bucket of sanitizer solution.
- While submerged in the solution, press the plunger in the center of each flavor connector to open the valve.
- Continue to press the plunger and move the connector through the solution for 5 seconds to allow the solution to enter the interior of the connector.
- Use a cleaning brush to thoroughly clean each connector.
- Repeat for the remaining connectors.
- Allow the flavor connectors to soak in the solution for a minimum of 10 minutes.
- Place the open ends of the flavor lines into the bucket of sanitizer solution.
-
From the Troubleshooting Tools screen, prime each flavor line with the sanitizer solution.
- Locate “Flavors and Enhancements” under the Controls section.
- Place a container under the nozzle, then touch “Start” next to “Prime Line 1” to prime the first flavor line. Repeat for the remaining seven lines. This will prime each flavor line for 10 seconds.
- Repeat this process two more times for a total of 30 seconds per each pump.
- Allow the sanitizer solution to sit in the flavor lines for a minimum of 10 minutes.
Task 3: Clean the Head Unit
While the flavor lines are soaking in sanitizer, clean the following:
-
SPRAY/WIPE DISPENSE AREA
- Remove the Nozzle Shroud, clean in the bucket of solution, and leave submerged in the solution for the duration of the flavor line soak time.
- Spray the dispense area liberally with sanitizer and wipe clean with a microfiber towel.
-
WIPE DOWN HEAD UNIT
- Thoroughly wipe down the entire outside of the head unit.
- Clean any water or flavor concentrate that has collected around the base of the head unit.
-
CLEAN TOUCHSCREEN
- Using screen cleaner or warm water and a clean microfiber towel, wipe down the touchscreen to remove any residue and fingerprints.
-
CLEAN DRIP TRAY
- Remove the drip tray from the front of the head unit.
- Bring to the nearest sink and dump out any excess liquid.
- Disassemble the drip tray by removing the metal grate.
-
Place drip tray components into the bucket with the sanitizer solution.
- Allow to soak in solution for a minimum of 1 minute.
-
CLEAN NOZZLE AREA
- Using a clean microfiber or paper towel, thoroughly clean the nozzle area of any dust or debris that may have collected in that area.
- Clean each of the 8 flavor barbs of any flavor concentrate residue.

- Thoroughly scrub and clean the drip tray.
-
Empty out the bucket of sanitizer solution.
- Thoroughly rinse any remaining sanitizer solution out.
- Refill the bucket with clean, hot water (120°F - 140°F).
-
Place the Flavor Line tubes into the bucket with clean, hot water.
- While holding a container under the nozzle, prime all 8 flavor lines 8 times (1 minute and 20 seconds each) to thoroughly flush with hot water.
-
Reconnect all 8 flavor connectors to the flavor lines.
- Ensure the 1/4” stems are fully seated into the push-to-connect fittings.
-
Reconnect each connector to its associated flavor box.
- Ensure that each line is connected to the correct flavor.
- Reinstall the Nozzle Shroud. Check to ensure it sits flush with the surrounding dispense area and that all 8 flavor injectors are visible from the dispense area.
-
Prime all the flavor lines with flavor concentrate.
- While holding a container under the nozzle, prime each of the 8 flavor lines to evacuate any remaining clean water and prime with flavor concentrate.
Task 5: Leak Inspection
NOTE: While inspecting for leaks, do not attempt to move the chiller. This can result in spilling water from the ice bank, causing a Water In Base Alert.
- Inspect the water path for any signs of leakage.
-
Carefully remove the outer shell of the head unit.
- Place your hands on the left and right sides, squeeze inward slightly, and twist to the right to disconnect the shell from the touchscreen.
- Lift up to remove the shell from the head unit.
- Visually inspect all tubing connections for signs of leakage, kinks, or damage.
- Ensure all tubing connections are fully seated in their push-to-connect fittings.
-
