Description

The carbonator unit has a location labeled “Ice Bank Fill/Empty” that is used periodically during use (particularly installation); however, the line should be disconnected and plugged when not needed.

FAQs
  • Why does the tube need to be disconnected?
      • For compliance with NSF18, this line needs to be disconnected
  • Which units need this performed on?
    • This procedure needs to be performed on every V1.5 Unit
    • All other units (Countertops and V1’s/V.75’s) should be checked

 

Required Tools and Materials
  • ⅜” Push to Connect Plug

 

Remediation Process
  • Locate the “Ice Bank Fill/Empty” fitting and connecting tube on the carbonator (Note: It should be labeled and is in the same position on both standup and countertop units)
  • Remove the red locking clip that secures the tubing to the specified fitting

  
  • Remove the tube from the push-to-connect fitting
  • Plug the empty Ice Bank Fill port
