Description
Upon restart of Bevi units that have been sitting unused for a period of time, water from the carbonator ice bank may have evaporated. To ensure that no damage occurs to the carbonator from running when the water level is too low it is required to top off the ice bank with water when restarting the Bevi.
FAQs
- Why is the water level low?
- It is expected that water will evaporate over time
- What are the dangers of running the carbonator when the ice bank water level is too low?
- This can cause excess stress, particularly on the agitator pump in the carbonator
- What does the amount of water in the overflow tube mean?
V1.5 Standup
- Open the Ice Bank valve located on the plumbing tray (You will hear water start flowing into the ice bank).
- Continue to fill the ice bank until water begins to flow into the overflow tube, at this point the ice bank is full. Turn off the valve immediately.
V1.0/V.75 Standup
- Pull out the carbonator from the base of the unit so that the backside is accessible
- Close the In Water valve to momentarily stop the flow of water
- Move the In Water line to the Fill Ice Bank location (Note these locations are on the backside of the carbonator)
- Open the valve until water begins to flow into the overflow tube, at this point the ice bank is full. Turn off the valve immediately.
- Move the tube from the Fill Ice Bank fitting back to the In Water fitting and open the valve
- Resituate the carbonator in the base of the Bevi unit
NOTE: Not all V.75/V1 Bevi units have a shutoff valve in the location shown above. If not in place, use the closest upstream shutoff valve to control the flow of water.
Countertop
- Locate the carbonator beneath the head unit in the cabinet
- Move the Water In line from its push-to-connect fitting to the Ice Bank Fill fitting
- Open the valve and allow water to enter the ice bank
- Watch the overflow tube and close the Ice Bank Fill valve immediately when water trickles into the tube
- Move the tube from the Ice Bank Fill fitting back to the Water In fitting
