Description
|
This document provides guidelines around the use of the carbonator adapter kit 540-0036. This kit enables the installation of a V1.5 carbonator (P/N #111193-01 (formerly 100052-01)) within older Bevi models (V.75 standup, V1 standup, V0 countertop).
|
FAQs
|
- Where can I order the carbonator conversion kit 550-0036?
- The 540-0036 kit is available to order as a spare part via bevi.handshake.com
- Are there other methods to install a V1.5 carbonator in an older Bevi machine?
- Yes. By using a combination of additional 8 mm to ⅜” reducers and extra lengths of tubing, the V1.5 carbonator can be installed in older machines.
- If an older model Bevi has already been installed with a V1.5 carbonator, do I need to replace the existing fluid connections with this new kit?
- No. As long as there are no leaks and machine performance/output is nominal, then there is no need to change the current state of the carbonator installation.

Installation Process
|
- Follow the below procedure for installation instructions
|
Carbonator Removal and Installation
- Refer to the Bevi Carbonator Replacement Guide at partners.bevi.co for proper technique when removing and installing the replacement carbonator within the Bevi machine chassis (standup) or cabinet space (countertop).
- Ensure that the Bevi machine and carbonator are powered off during carbonator removal and installation.
- Ensure water and CO2 inputs to the machine are off during carbonator removal and installation.
|
Carbonator Inputs
Ice Bank Fill (blue arrow)
- During normal machine operation, water will flow from the filter output, through the water pressure regulator, and into the Water In port of the carbonator
- Use tube cutters to trim down the existing ⅜” tubes between the filter<>regulator and regulator<>carbonator so that the tubing routes from the filter output to the front of the carbonator without any kinks or straining
- Complete the connections of this fluid path, ensuring that the arrow on the pressure regulator is in line with the direction of flow (i.e. from filter to carbonator)
- Connect the water line from the filter output to the Ice Bank Fill port on the front of the carbonator
- Follow the instructions on the Carbonator Replacement Guide and proceed to fill the ice bank tank.
Water Input (red and yellow arrows)
- Once the tank is filled, remove the tube from the Ice Bank Fill port and install the tube in the Water In port (red arrows)
- Use the provided ⅜” plug (shipped with the carbonator) to plug the Ice Bank Fill port (yellow arrow)
CO2 Input (green arrow)
- Connect the existing CO2 polyethylene line from the output of the CO2 regulator to the CO2 input on the front of the carbonator.
|
Carbonator Outputs
- Connect the 1.5” length of ¼” tube (provided in the adapter kit) to the long arm of the flow compensato
- Install the other side of the 1.5” length of tube into the Soda Out port on the front of the carbonator.
- Install 1x of the provided 18” lengths of poly tubing to the short arm of the ¼” tubing
- This tube can be cut using tube cutters to a desired shorter length in order to facilitate better fit within the existing machine fluid system.
- Install the remaining 18” length tube into the Still Out port on the front of the carbonator
- This tube can be cut using tube cutters to a desired shorter length in order to facilitate better fit within the existing machine fluid system.
- Connect the tube from the still and soda carbonator outputs to the corresponding still and soda ¼” push-to-connect shut-off valves that are installed within the existing machine fluid system side wall
- It is critical to ensure that the still/soda outputs from the carbonator are connected to the correct still/soda lines on the machine. To verify, look for labeling on the machine lines and visually trace the entire water flow from carbonator to nozzle.
|
Final Test
- After installation of the carbonator and adapter kit, follow instructions in the Bevi installation guide at partners.bevi.co for returning electrical power, water, and CO2 to the Bevi machine.
- Use the touchscreen to dispense still and sparkling water, ensuring no leaks within the fluid system and proper dispensing of still and sparkling water from the nozzle.
