Overview
This document provides an overview of the voltage and water source pressure and flow rate site requirements for each Bevi machine to meet their optimal operating capacities. Instructions on how to measure your site’s water source pressure and flow rates are also included.

How to Measure Your Site’s Water Pressure & Flow Rate
Required Applications and Tools
- Measurement Tool
- Single Scale Pressure Gauge with Plastic Case, 1/4 NPT Male Bottom Connection, 2" Dial
- John Guest Female Adapter NPTF - 3/8 x 1/4 NPTF
- John Guest Union Tee Polypro - ⅜
- John Guest Shut-Off Valve-Polypro Straight - 3/8 Tube x 3/8 Tube
- PTFE Teflon® Thread Seal Tape - 0.4 Density 1/2" x 260'
- 3/8 Tube to connect each of the components
- 1L Volumetric Bottle
- Timer (maybe on cellphone)
Task 1: Assemble flow and measurement tools
- Purchase the items linked to above
- Assemble the items according to the diagram below:
Task 2: Measure Pressure and Flow from the waterline at time of installation
Pressure
- Install the waterline with a valve attached.
- Close the valve, allow any water in the line to exit.
- Attach the waterline to tee fitting on the above assembly.
- Close the shutoff valve shown above.
- Open the Wall water inlet valve to measure the pressure in the pressure gauge.
- This is the water pressure
Flow
- Have a bucket with capacity of 1 liter (or clear mark at 1 liter)
- Have a stop-watch ready
- Open the valve and start the timer together
- Stop the timer when water reaches the 1 L mark (and then close the valve)
- Record this time in seconds
-
Use below formula to calculate the flow rate
- Flow rate (LPM) = (1/time in seconds) X 60
- Compare Pressure and Flow rate to the requirements above to ensure proper operation.
