👉 Inflate Buffer Tank (Recharge) Guide and Alert, Standup 2.0
👉 Replace Buffer Tank Guide and Alert, Standup 2.0Â
Overview and Background
Q: Why am I being contacted about a buffer tank mandatory service program?
A: We are proactively addressing an issue related to the buffer tanks used in Standup 2.0 (SU 2.0) machines. This program ensures that your machine continues to deliver the reliable, high-quality dispensing experience you expect.
Q: What should I expect next?
A: Our dedicated Partner Operations team will contact each branch with comprehensive, step-by-step instructions regarding the mandatory service process the week of January 12, 2026.
Q: What is a buffer tank and what does it do?
A: The buffer tank holds a reserve of water for the Bevi machine, helping maintain a consistent dispensing flow rate. Water flows from Manifold 1 to the filter, then to the buffer tank, and back to Manifold 1 before dispensing. This process ensures stable performance and consistent beverage quality.
Q: What is the issue with the current buffer tanks?
A: The Standup 2.0 buffer tank can lose air pressure over time, which may lead to:
- Slower dispensing
- Changes in water taste
- Noisy pumps
- A less optimal customer experience, sometimes leading to complaints or service requests
Q: What is the solution?
A: One of the following actions, as needed:
- Replacement: Completely deflated buffer tanks will be replaced.
- Inflation: Semi-deflated buffer tanks will be reinflated to 22 psi to restore proper performance.
Mandatory Service Program FAQ
Q: How can we determine whether a buffer tank needs replacement or reinflation?
A: Starting January 12, 2026 Bevi will be reaching out to all Partners with a proactive list of machines. On January 13th, the following SU 2.0 machine alerts will go live on machines and in The Well:Â
- Replace Tank - This alert triggers when three qualifying dispenses occur within a 24-hour period, each showing buffer tank pressure conditions that indicate the buffer tank may have failed.
- Inflate Tank - This alert triggers when the machine has NOT met the dispense criteria for the Replace Tank alert, but our records indicate that the machine was manufactured with a 7 psi Buffer Tank.
Q: What are the alerts that will appear on the machine and will they disrupt usage?Â
A: One of the following alerts may appear. These alerts will not block beverage dispensing or interrupt usage (Severity 2 alerts).
- Inflate Tank – This alert can be cleared on the machine once the tank is reinflated.
- Replace Tank – This requires the technician to enter the tank’s serial number and complete a verification flow.
Q: Is there any important information needed in order to replace the Buffer Tank?Â
A: In order to clear the alert the serial number located on the new Buffer tank will need to be entered in an onscreen prompt. Please take note of the serial number prior to installing, as it may not be visible on the buffer tank once installed.
Q: What tools are needed to inflate the Buffer Tank?
A: We are providing a Buffer Tank inflation pump for technicians to use to inflate the Buffer Tank.
Q: What happens if reinflation fails?
A: If reinflation is unsuccessful, the buffer tank will need to be replaced.
Q: Are other machines or systems impacted by this issue?
A: We are currently evaluating the impact of this change in our other machines, as those buffer tanks have different capacities and operational requirements. Once the assessment is complete, we will share any necessary updates or recommended actions.
Q: If you notice that you are seeing additional Replace Buffer Tank" alerts in The Well than what was initially received in your report?Â
A: It’s possible that an Inflate alert escalated to a Replace alert between the time the initial list was sent to you and now. Additional Buffer Tanks will be included in your initial shipment to accommodate for this.
