Overview
The Caffeine Clarity feature adds an on-screen pop-up indicator on all Bevi machines that displays the amount of caffeine being dispensed while a drink is poured. This helps users keep track of caffeine levels in their beverage.
The pop-up appears when the user holds down the pour button after selecting a caffeinated option, and disappears if the user changes their selection or when the dispense screen resets. The pop-up categorizes caffeine levels using familiar comparisons, such as tea or coffee strength, to help users understand the amount being dispensed.
Feature Details
What is this pop-up on the screen talking about caffeine?
This feature was introduced to help users understand the amount of caffeine they may or may not be dispensing in their drink. It equates the milligrams (mg) of caffeine dispensed to a common caffeinated beverage.
When does the pop-up appear and disappear?
The pop-up appears when a user selects a caffeinated option and holds down the pour button. It disappears if the user makes a new selection on screen, or when the animation plays and the drink selection screen gets automatically reset.
What are the different levels?
The levels are:
- 0-19 mg = Less than Tea Strength
- 20 - 50 mg= ~ Tea Strength
- 51-100 mg= ~Coffee Strength
- 101-300 mg = ~Energy Drink Strength
- 301-400mg = Approaching Daily Limit
- >400 mg = Recommended Daily Limit
What machines will this appear on?
This is a feature available on all Bevi models. Ensure the Bevi machine software is updated to access the latest features.
Does this change anything about the way caffeine is dispensed?
No, this does not impact the way that caffeine is dispensed into Bevi drinks when selecting caffeinated beverage options. This feature is meant to increase transparency and clarity for users.
It does not stop the dispense of caffeine, and it does not add up or track caffeine totals between dispenses. This feature is informational only.
Appearance on Bevi dispense screens
When needed, the caffeine clarity pop-up appears in the bottom-left of the screen, next to the nutrition information counter and information. The exact size and position of the pop-up flag can vary slightly based on the caffeine level and may cover the Pour button slightly.
