FAQ
Why are we changing the strength of Energy Boost?
At Bevi, we’re always evaluating our product portfolio to offer beverages people love. Our research shows that Energy Boost drinkers are looking for higher caffeine levels, similar to popular energy drinks. Like our other enhancements, Energy Boost now features three distinct settings - low, medium (default), and high - giving users the flexibility to choose the level that best fits their preference.
When is the strength of Energy Boost changing?
Internet-connected Bevi units located in the United States will begin to see this change starting August 13th. Roll-out of this change will be completed by the end of August 2025. If a unit is not connected to the internet during the roll-out period, the unit will receive the update when it is next connected to the internet.
Units located in Canada will see no change.
How are we notifying Bevi users of the changes to Energy Boost?
For the first two weeks after the change, units that have Energy Boost installed will see a “New Strength” banner on the Energy Boost flavor button. The enhancement's nutrition card will also be updated to reflect the change.
What if I want the old strength of Energy Boost back?
It is not possible to revert a unit back to the old strength of Energy Boost.
If you are looking for a lower caffeine offering, we recommend our newest enhancement, Focus Blend. Focus Blend is great for those who want a gentler option that supports calm productivity. Focus Blend has 40 mg of caffeine at default, 20 mg on the low setting, and 60 mg on the high setting.
Are the new caffeine levels in Energy Boost safe?
The caffeine level selections for Energy Boost are designed to align with established guidelines for healthy adults. Health authorities (FDA, Health Canada) recommend limiting caffeine intake to approximately 400 mg per day from all sources. Consumers should monitor their total daily caffeine consumption. As with any drink containing caffeine, this product is not recommended for children, people sensitive to caffeine, pregnant persons, or persons who are nursing.
The onscreen nutrition counter and new visual "Caffeine Clarity" pop-up helps users easily see how much caffeine is included in each beverage; visit the Caffeine Clarity article to learn more.
🇨🇦 Why are we not changing the strength of Energy Boost for units located in Canada?
The caffeine content is not being changed in Canada due to regulatory limits on caffeinated beverages. We will continue to monitor guidance from Canadian regulatory authorities and explore opportunities for future updates.
Why am I not seeing the updated strength of Energy Boost on a Bevi unit located in the United States?
Bevi units must be connected to the internet and have been upgraded to our latest software version to receive this change. If a unit is not connected to the internet during the roll-out period, the unit will receive the update when it is next connected to the internet. Additionally, please double check that the unit is registered to the United States.
What does it mean for a Bevi unit to be registered to the United States? How do I change the country that a unit is registered to?
All Bevi units are registered to a country when they are first installed during the installation process. You can check what country a unit is registered to by checking the “Address” field on the Settings page in the Service Panel on the Bevi. You can also check this field under the “Unit Information” on the Unit page using The Well.

Is the Energy Boost’s SKU number or ingredients list changing?
No, Energy Boost’s SKU number or ingredients list will remain the same.
Will this change affect the yield of the BiB?
Because of the change in caffeine levels, we expect a small average yield reduction of around 12% compared to other flavor concentrates. The exact impact depends on which setting most users use when dispensing Energy Boost.
👉 What should I do if a customer raises concern due to price sensitivity?
- If they want to keep Energy Boost, then wait for a period of time before restocking. This can keep them at the same bill per month.
- If they want to replace Energy Boost, then we suggest they swap for one of our popular flavors, like lemon.
👉 What should I do if a customer raises concerns, but is not price sensitive?
- Just swap for a different enhancement entirely.
