Remove and Replace Procedure
Before Starting
- If the water supply tubing is long enough, you do not need to depressurize the water system.
- If you can verify the water supply tubing has enough slack to remove the chiller without disconnecting, you can start at Task 2.
Task 1: Depressurize the water system.
- Turn off the water source to the Compact Chiller.
- Open the front access panel.
- Turn off the Buffer tank.
- Rotate the shut off valve to the CLOSED position.
- Turn off the CO2 tank.
- Navigate to the Troubleshooting Tools screen.
- Touch the service icon in the upper left corner.
- Touch "Start Service"
- Enter the PIN to access the service panel.
- On the left side of the screen, touch "Machine Alerts".
- Touch "Troubleshooting Tools"
- Place a container under the nozzle, and pour COLD and Sparkling water until water is no longer dispensing for either selection.
Task 2: Power Off the Bevi.
- Power off the Bevi using the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the chiller.
CAUTION: Do NOT disconnect the power cord before powering off the chiller.
Task 3: Remove the chiller from the cabinet.
- Carefully lift the front of the chiller so the locating tabs on the bottom can come up and out of the ventilation holes.
- Slide the chiller forward so the front hangs over the edge of the cabinet.
- Remove the red locking clip and disconnect the 3/8" water supply line from the back of the chiller.
- This step may not be necessary if there is enough slack on the water line to fully remove the chiller without putting tension on the tubing.
- Lifting from the front and the rear grab handle, carefully lift the chiller out of the cabinet and place on the floor.
- CAUTION: Take extra care to move the Chiller as carefully as possible. Keep the chiller flat and level as you move it to avoid any spillage from the Ice Bank.
Task 4: Remove the left side panel.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two screws securing the top panel of the chiller.
- With the screws fully loosened, slide the panel up to release the locating tabs at the base.
- Place the panel to the side.
Task 5: Remove the PCB panel.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two screws securing the PCB panel on the left side of the chiller.
- With the screws fully loosened, lift the panel to release the lower locating tab and remove.

- At the bottom edge of the board, firmly press down on the mounting tab to release the board.
- Carefully pull the bottom of the board forward to release it from the tab.
- Slide the board down and out of the PCB housing.
Task 8: Install the new BUC Board.
- Unpackage the new BUC board.
- Install the BUC Board into the PCB housing.
- Slot the top edge of the BUC Board into the clips at the top of the PCB housing.
- Firmly press in the bottom of the board until it audibly clicks into the bottom tab.
- Reconnect all cable connectors to the BUC Board, with the exception of the white 4-pin Power Supply connector and the green/yellow ground wire.
