Overview
Use this guide to remove and replace the Compact Chiller for the Countertop 1.5.

Remove and Replace Procedure
- Task 1: Depressurize the water system.
- Task 2: Power Off the Bevi.
- Task 3: Remove the Chiller.
- Task 4: Disconnect the CO2 line and High Pressure CO2 Sensor.
- Task 5: Drain the Ice Bank.
- Task 6: Reinstall the right side and CO2 panels.
- Task 7: Remove the filter.
- Task 8: Install the new Chiller.
- Task 9: Fill the Water System.
- Task 10: Launch Incubation.
- Task 11: Prepare the old chiller for return.
Required Tools & Parts
- P/N #720-0310 - COMPACT CHILLER KIT
- #2 Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Small bucket or collection container
Remove and Replace Procedure
Task 1: Depressurize the water system.
- Turn off the water source to the Compact Chiller.
- Open the front access panel on the chiller.
- Drain the Buffer Tank.
- Ensure the Buffer Tank valve is in the open position.
- Remove the Filter Flush tube from the clips and direct it into a bucket,
- Open the Filter Flush Valve and drain the Buffer Tank until it is completely empty.
- Once fully drained, close the Filter Flush valve, and replace the Filter Flush tube into the clips.
- Navigate to the Troubleshooting Tools screen.
- Touch the service icon in the upper left corner.
- Touch “Start Service”
- Enter the PIN to access the service panel.
- On the left side of the screen, touch “Machine Alerts”.
- Touch “Troubleshooting Tools”
- Place a container under the nozzle, and pour COLD water until water is no longer dispensing.
- Press and hold the pour button for SPARKLING water until the CO2 system gasses out and only CO2 is dispensed.
- Close the valve on the CO2 tank by turning the valve clockwise until it stops.
- Press and hold the pour button for SPARKLING water until all CO2 pressure is released.
Task 2: Power Off the Bevi.
- Power off the Bevi using the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the chiller.
Task 3: Remove the Chiller.
- Carefully lift the front of the chiller so the locating tabs on the bottom can come up and out of the ventilation holes.
NOTE: Avoid spilling water from the ice bank by taking extra care to keep the chiller flat and level, and minimize any excess handling.
- Slide the chiller forward so the front hangs over the edge of the cabinet to get access to the back.
- Lifting from the front and the rear grab handle, carefully lift the chiller out of the cabinet and place on the floor.
- Disconnect the 3 water lines from the back of the chiller.
- Remove the red locking clips.
- Disconnect the 3/8” Water In tube.
- Disconnect the 1/4” Sparkling Out tube.
- Disconnect the 1/4” Still Out tube.
- Pull each tube down and out of the rubber grommets.
- Disconnect the electrical connections.
- In the top right corner, disconnect the Chiller USB cable.
- Depress the lock latch to release the connector.
- Disconnect the Head Unit Power cable.
- Loosen the metal collar by turning counter clockwise and disconnect the cable.
- In the top right corner, disconnect the Chiller USB cable.
Task 4: Disconnect the CO2 line and High Pressure CO2 Sensor.
- Remove the CO2 panel from the top of the compact chiller.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two captive screws securing the panel.
- Lift the panel up on the front of the panel and remove, then place to the side.
- Disconnect the CO2 tube from the push to connect fitting on top of the chiller.
- If present, move the red locking clip and disconnect the 1/4” stem elbow from the fitting.
- Do not disconnect the tube from the elbow fitting, as it will be needed to reconnect to the new chiller.
- Disconnect the high side CO2 sensor cable from the compact chiller.
- There is a lock latch on the CO2 sensor connector.
- Depress the lock latch to disconnect the cable from the connector.
Task 5: Drain the Ice Bank.
- Remove the right side panel.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two screws securing the right side panel of the chiller.
- With the screws fully loosened, lift the panel up and out of the locating tabs at the bottom.
- Place the panel to the side.
- Locate the Ice Bank Drain at the back of the chiller, below the Ice Bank.
- While holding a container below the drain, remove the plug from the elbow fitting and drain all the water from the Ice Bank.
NOTE: Have the drain plug ready to reinstall should you need to empty your container.
- Once fully drained, reinstall the plug.
Task 6: Reinstall the right side and CO2 panels.
- Reinstall the right side panel.
- Ensure the locating tabs slot into place
- Tighten the screws to secure the panel.
- Reinstall the CO2 panel.
- Ensure the locating tabs slot into place
- Tighten the screws to secure the panel.
Task 7: Remove the filter.
- Rotate the filter counter clockwise to remove from the filter head.
- Place the filter to the side, as it will be reinstalled on the new chiller.
Task 8: Install the new Chiller.
- Unbox the new chiller.
- Save all packaging as it will be used to box the old chiller to be returned.
- Reconnect the water water lines.
- Connect the 3/8” Water In tube.
- Connect 1/4” Still and Sparkling Tubes.
- Refer to the labeling on the tubes and on the chiller to ensure they are connected correctly.
- Ensure each tube is fully seated into the push to connect fittings.
- Reinstall the red locking clips.
- Reconnect the electrical connections.
- Connect the chiller power cord.
- Connect the Head Unit power cord.
- Push the connector in until it clicks into place, and tighten the metal collar.
- Connect the chiller USB cable.
- Ensure the connector clicks into place securely.
- Remove the CO2 Access Panel.
- Loosen two captive Philips screws, and lift up on the panel.
- Route the 1/4” tubing and sensor cable from the CO2 Line Extension into the access panel.
- The tube and sensor cable can be routed from either side of the chiller.
- There are 2 channels where the tubing and sensor cable run, the larger channel is for the CO2 tubing, and the smaller is for the sensor cable.
- Connect the sensor cable to the connector inside the CO2 Panel.
- Ensure connector latch is facing upward.
- Connect the 1/4” PTC elbow of the CO2 Line Extension to the PTC fitting on the top of the chiller.
- Reinstall the CO2 Panel.
- Ensure the panel is seated flush, and tighten the two phillips screws.
- Carefully lift the chiller into place in the cabinet.
- Ensure the locating tabs on the bottom of the chiller fit into the ventilation holes and the chiller sits flush on the base of the cabinet.
- Reinstall the filter.
- Position the filter up into the filter head and rotate 1/4 turn clockwise until it locks into pace.
- Power on the chiller.
Task 9: Fill the Water System.
- Once the chiller is installed in the cabinet and the Bevi is powered on, navigate back to the troubleshooting tools menu.
- In the front access panel, confirm the buffer tank valve is OPEN.
NOTE: Confirm that the Filter Flush valve is in the closed position.
- Turn on the water source.
- Turn on the CO2 tank.
- Turn the tank valve one full turn counter clockwise.
- From the “Water” controls menu, open the inlet solenoid.
- This will allow water to enter the chiller and fill the buffer tank.
- While filling the buffer tank, observe the internal water pressure increasing in the Data section.
- Once water pressure has stabilized, the buffer tank should be full.
- Fill the Ice Bank.
- In the Chiller “Controls” menu, touch the START button to fill the ice bank.
- Once the ice bank fill passes, confirm that Chiller “Full” reads YES in the Chiller Data section.
- Fill the Carbonator.
- Dispense SPARKLING water for 5-10 seconds, then stop and wait for 1 minute.
- Check the Chiller Data and confirm that “Carbonator Full” reads YES.
- If it is not, repeat step 7a until the carbonator is full.
- Test both Still and Sparkling dispenses.
- Confirm Still water is dispensing with a full stream.
- Confirm Sparkling water is dispensing and is carbonated.
NOTE: Sparkling drinks may not be fully carbonated until the chiller cools down to the proper temperature.
Task 10: Launch Incubation.
- In the top right corner, touch back to navigate back to the Service Panel.
- Touch “Advanced” in the top right.
- Touch “Start Incubation”.
- The Bevi will enter Incubation Mode for 1 hour to allow the the ice bank to cool down to the proper temperature.
Task 11: Prepare the old chiller for return.
- The old chiller will need to be returned to Bevi via RMA.
- Reuse the packaging from the replacement to box the old chiller.
- Once ready for return, please contact Bevi Support at 866-704-2384 for assistance in scheduling the RMA pickup.
