If the water coming out is now cold, but the water is still not carbonated enough, try the following actions:
Action #1: Verify the CO2 tank is full
The most common cause of sparkling water failure is an empty CO2 tank. Please first verify that a new, full CO2 tank has been installed as replacement.
Action #2: Check the CO2 regulator set point
If the CO2 tank is new, check to make sure the tank valve is opened and that the pressure regulator is set at 6 bars or 87.5 PSI.
Action #3: Reset the chiller carbonator
Low carbonation can also occur if the carbonator pump has stalled, and is no longer pumping water into the carbonator tank. To troubleshoot this, restart the carbonator. For Countertop units, turn the carbonator itself Off and On.
This power cycling will reset both the chiller carbonator and the carbonator pump. Dispense 1 L of water to purge any still water out of the carbonator tank, triggering on the carbonator pump.
Action #4: For Countertop units only, insulate the water lines between the chiller carbonator and the Countertop head unit
In some cases, due to warm ambient air inside a Countertop's cabinets, the chill water and sparkling water traveling between the chiller carbonator and the Countertop head unit may by warm 3 to 4 degrees Fahrenheit. Thus, you may need to insulate those lines to minimize temperature increase through the travel path of the water lines.
First, you will need to purchase pipe insulation tape. We recommend this tape.
Second, using the insulation tape, wrap all the water lines between the chiller carbonator and the Countertop head unit. Start an inch or two past the end of the supplied insulation for on the soda/still water out lines leaving the chiller, and wrap all exposed lines an inch or two past the insulation on the console tubing. You can also wrap any unions, tees, or shut offs as well since the adhesive side of the tape is not water tight so if there was a leak the insulation will not hide it.
The wrapped lines should look like the following:
