[Hardware Change Notice] Water Pressure Reducer Part Transition - March 2025

Overview

Starting in March of 2025, Bevi introduced an upgraded Water Pressure Reducer for use in Bevi Standup 0.75, 1.0, 1.5, and Countertop 1.0.  This document explains why this change was made, machine symptoms that would qualify a machine for the upgrade, and key differences between the water pressure reducer versions.  

What to Know (Q&A)

Q: Why was the Water Pressure Reducer updated? 

A: It was found that the existing plastic water pressure regulator could experience a failure condition where the component restricts the flow of water through the Bevi.  The upgraded metal water pressure reducer has been shown to not fail as the previous component did. 

Q: Will new Bevi machines ship with the upgraded part? 

A: Yes, the upgraded pressure reducer was cut into production for Standup 1.5, and new Countertop 1.0 machines in March 2025.  

Q: Can the plastic pressure regulator be replaced in previously installed Bevis? 

A: Yes, the upgraded metal pressure reducer is a direct replacement for the existing component.  

Q: When should the pressure reducer be upgraded? 

A: Bevi machines that are showing symptoms of a decreased flow rate from the dispense nozzle, but were NOT present at the time of the initial installation may qualify for the upgrade.  Some key symptoms include:

  • Low flow from the nozzle during dispense, even though the water supply meets the minimum requirements per the installation specifications.
  • Symptoms were not present at the time of initial installation. 
  • Filter swaps do not improve the flow.

  1. Metal body.
  2. 43.5 PSI.
  3. 3/8” threaded push to connect fittings on inlet and outlet.
    • Fittings are factory-torqued and have thread sealer applied.
    • Fittings should not be tightened or loosened.
  4. Raised arrow on metal body to indicate direction of flow.
