[Hardware Change Notice] Standup 2.0 "Gen 2 Structure" - September 2024

Overview

An updated version of Internal Structure has been introduced for Bevi Standup 2.0 units. This article describes the key differences between the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Structure changes, including updates to the structures for the base, flavor shelving, and the mounting for BUC board and pump panel.

NOTE: This change notice is for Standup 2.0's sold in US/North America (120 V power). The EU/UK Standup 2.0 models (240 V power) were only manufactured with the updated structure version.

Q: Why was the structure changed? 

A: The Gen 2 Structure change was made to improve design and manufacturing process. 

Q: Does the structure change impact machine functionality? 

A: No, the changes do not affect the function of any components in the Standup 2.0.

Key Differences & Details:

Base Structure

OLD “GEN 1” Base Structure

  1. Grey plastic CO2 base grate.
  2. Base leak detector float switch located under the base grate, in the front right corner of the basin.  
  3. Base drain plug located on the back of the machine.  

NEW “GEN 2” Base Structure

  1. No base grate. 
    • The CO2 tank will now sit directly on the plastic base structure.  
    • There is no additional accessory to install from the installation kit.  
  2. Float switch bracket in Gen 2 structure is larger, to prevent accidental triggers.
    • New FRU 720-0306: "GEN 2, BASE FLOAT SENSOR ASSEMBLY, SU 2.0"
  3. Drain port accessible from front.

Flavor Shelving Structure

OLD “GEN 1” Flavor Shelving Structure

  1. Full metal side panel and flavor shelves.  
  2. Edges of flavor shelves are rolled, with slotting for flavor tube retention. 
  3. Top flavor tube retention also has rolled panel.  

NEW “GEN 2” Flavor Shelving Structure

  1. Single metal side bracket with 3 plastic shelves in Gen 2.
  2. Lower 3 flavor shelves use clips for flavor tube retention. 
  3. Top shelf flavor tube retention uses “Christmas Tree” clips. 

BUC Board and Pump Panel Mounting

“GEN 1” BUC Board and Pump Panel Mounting

  1. BUC Board mounted to back panel with 4 screws.  
  2. Screw for Pump Panel rear mounting point.  

 NEW   “GEN 2” BUC Board and Pump Panel Mounting

  1. BUC Board mounted by two screws on top, and slots into 2 clips on bottom.  
    • BUC Board itself is not changed. 
  2. Clip for Pump Panel rear mounting point.  
    • Pump Panel itself is not changed.
