- Phillips Screwdriver (#2)
Troubleshooting Steps
Task 1: Repeat the Diagnostic Test
- Verify water and CO2 are turned off, and filter is NOT installed.
- Restart the diagnostic tests to see if it passes on the second attempt.
- If the test continues to fail, power cycle the Bevi via the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Navigate back through the installation steps to the Install Diagnostic step and repeat the test.
- If the test continues to fail, continue to Task 2.
Task 2: Confirm proper ventilation.
- Verify that the chiller has been installed to the proper ventilation specifications.
- Refer to page 17 of the Countertop 1.5 Installation Guide.
- If the cabinet millwork has not been completed to spec, the chiller should be completely removed and ventilation holes need to be drilled.
- If ventilation holes have been drilled, verify the tabs of chiller ventilation grate are properly located into the holes so the chiller is sitting flush on the cabinet base.
- If ventilation is to spec, continue to Task 3.
Task 3: Power Off the Bevi.
- Power off the Bevi using the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the chiller.
Task 4: Remove the chiller from the cabinet.
- Carefully lift the front of the chiller so the locating tabs on the bottom can come up and out of the ventilation holes.
-
Slide the chiller forward so the front hangs over the edge of the cabinet.
-
Remove the red locking clip and disconnect the 3/8” water supply line from the back of the chiller.
- This step may not be necessary if there is enough slack on the water line to fully remove the chiller without putting tension on the tubing.
-
Lifting from the front and the rear grab handle, carefully lift the chiller out of the cabinet and place on the floor.
Task 5: Remove the PCB panel.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two screws securing the PCB panel on the left side of the chiller.
- With the screws fully loosened, lift the panel to release the lower locating tab and remove.
- Place the panel to the side.
Task 6: Inspect the PCB Fan Connection.
- Locate the PCB Fan connection on the BUC Board.
- Inspect the Fan cable.
- Confirm that the cable is connected and fully seated.
- Inspect the wires and connector for any visible damage or loose pins.
- If there is any damage to the cable or connector, please contact Bevi Support at 866-704-2384.
- Gently disconnect, and reconnect the Fan cable.
- There is a lock latch on the connector that needs to be depressed to disconnect the cable.
- When reconnecting, ensure the connector is fully seated and clicks into place.
Task 7: Reinstall the Chiller.
- Reinstall the PCB panel.
- Take care not to pinch any wiring in the panels.
- Ensure the locating tabs slot into place
- Tighten the screw to secure the panel.
- Reconnect the chiller power cord.
- Carefully lift the chiller into place in the cabinet.
- Ensure the locating tabs on the bottom of the chiller fit into the ventilation holes and the chiller sits flush on the base of the cabinet.
- If it was disconnected during removal, reconnect the 3/8” water supply tube.
- Ensure the tubing is fully seated into the push to connect fitting.
- Reinstall the red locking clip.
- Power on the chiller.
Task 8: Repeat the Diagnostic Test
- Once the Bevi starts up, continue through the Install Wizard back to the diagnostics step.
- Rerun the test.
- If the test passes, continue with Installation.
- If the test continues to fail, there may be an issue with the PCB fan or BUC Board.
