Required Tools
- Phillips Screwdriver (#2)
- Small bucket or collection container.
Before Continuing
During the Install Diagnostics test, the filter should not be installed, and water and CO2 should not yet be turned on. If these steps have already been done:
- Turn off water supply
- Turn off the CO2 tank by rotating the handle clockwise until it stops.
- Drain the Buffer tank.
Troubleshooting Steps
Task 1: Repeat the Diagnostic Test
- If the test fails, you can first attempt to restart the diagnostic tests to see if it passes on the second attempt.
- If the test continues to fail, power cycle the Bevi via the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Navigate back through the installation steps to the Install Diagnostic step and repeat the test.
- If the test continues to fail, continue to Task 2.
Task 2: Drain the Buffer Tank.
- The water supply should not have been opened yet at this point of installation.
-
- If the water supply was turned on, turn it off.
-
- Open the access door on the front of the chiller.
- Pull the filter flush tube out of the clips, and run it into a bucket or container.
- Open the filter flush valve to drain any water from the buffer tank.
- Once empty, close the filter flush valve.
- Restart the install diagnostics test.
- If the test passes, continue with installation.
- If the test fails, continue to the next steps to check the pressure sensor cable.
Task 3: Power Off the Bevi.
- Power off the Bevi using the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the chiller.
Task 4: Remove the chiller from the cabinet.
- Carefully lift the front of the chiller so the locating tabs on the bottom can come up and out of the ventilation holes.
- Slide the chiller forward so the front hangs over the edge of the cabinet.
- Remove the red locking clip and disconnect the 3/8” water supply line from the back of the chiller.
-
- This step may not be necessary if there is enough slack on the water line to fully remove the chiller without putting tension on the tubing.
-
- Lifting from the front and the rear grab handle, carefully lift the chiller out of the cabinet and place on the floor.
Task 4: Remove the PCB panel.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two screws securing the PCB panel on the left side of the chiller.
- With the screws fully loosened, lift the panel to release the lower locating tab and remove.
- Place the panel to the side.
Task 5: Inspect the Demand Pump cable.
- In the PCB panel, locate the Demand Pump cable on the BUC Board.
- Inspect the demand pump connection.
- Confirm that the cable is connected to the BUC Board.
- Inspect the wires and connector for any visible damage.
- If there is any damage to the cable or connector, please contact Bevi Support at 866-704-2384.
- Gently disconnect, and reconnect the Pressure Sensor Harness.
- There is a lock latch on the connector that needs to be depressed to disconnect the cable.
- When reconnecting, ensure the connector is fully seated and clicks into place.
Task 6: Reinstall the Chiller.
- Reinstall the PCB panel.
- Take care not to pinch any wiring in the panels.
- Ensure the locating tabs slot into place.
- Tighten the screw to secure the panel.
- Reconnect the chiller power cord.
- Carefully lift the chiller into place in the cabinet.
- Ensure the locating tabs on the bottom of the chiller fit into the ventilation holes and the chiller sits flush on the base of the cabinet.
- If it was disconnected during removal, reconnect the 3/8” water supply tube.
- Ensure the tubing is fully seated into the push to connect fitting.
- Reinstall the red locking clip.
- Power on the chiller.
Task 7: Repeat the Diagnostic Test
- Once the Bevi starts up, continue through the Install Wizard back to the diagnostics step.
- Rerun the test.
- If the test passes, continue with Installation.
- If the test continues to fail, the it is possible either the demand pump or BUC board is faulty.
