Required Tools & Parts (use Heading 3 text style)
- #1 and #2 Phillips screwdrivers.
Before Continuing
During the Install Diagnostics test, the filter should not be installed, and water and CO2 should not yet be turned on. If these steps have already been done:
- Turn off water supply
- Turn off the CO2 tank by rotating the handle clockwise until it stops.
- Remove the filter.
- Drain the Buffer tank.
Troubleshooting
Task 1: Repeat the Diagnostic Test
- If the test fails, you can first attempt to restart the diagnostic tests to see if it passes on the second attempt.
- If the test continues to fail, power cycle the Bevi via the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Navigate back through the installation steps to the Install Diagnostic step and repeat the test.
- If the test continues to fail, continue to Task 2.
Task 2: Remove the back panel from the Head Unit
- Under the countertop, loosen the split nut 2-3 turns.
- Carefully rotate the head unit to access the back panel.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the 10 screws securing the back panel to the head unit.
- Carefully remove the back panel.
- NOTE: The back panel has wiring attached, take care not to put any tension on cabling.
Task 3: Check the USB Cable Connection.
- Check the micro USB Connection at the top of the control board.
- Carefully disconnect, then reconnect the cable at the control board.
- Ensure that the cable is fully seated into the connector.
- Remove the Touchscreen Assembly.
- At the bottom front corners of the touchscreen, remove the 2 Phillips screws.
- Carefully lift the touchscreen up from the head unit.
- Take care not to pull on any cabling.
- Check the right angle USB connection on the left side at the back of the Touchscreen assembly.
- Carefully disconnect, then reconnect the USB cable to the Touchscreen.
- Place the screen back onto the head unit, but do not reinstall the screws.
- Repeat the diagnostic test.
- The screen may have restarted when the USB cable was disconnected. If so, navigate back through installation to the Diagnostic Test.
- If the test passes, reinstall the touchscreen mounting screws and back panel, and continue with installation.
- If the test fails, continue to Task 4.
Task 4: Check the Still Solenoid wiring connections.
- At the back of the Head Unit, check the solenoid wiring connection on the control board.
- Carefully disconnect, then reconnect the cable to the control board.
- Ensure the cable is fully seated and clicks into place.
- Check the wiring connections to the Still solenoid.
- Lift up the touchscreen assembly and locate the Still Solenoid behind the Touchscreen assembly.
- Verify that both the red and black solenoid wires are securely connected to the solenoid.
- If the wires are disconnected, reconnect them to the solenoid.
- There is no polarity to the dispense solenoids, so it does not matter which orientation the wires are connected.
- Place the touchscreen back onto the head unit.
Task 5: Repeat the Diagnostic test.
- Restart the Install Diagnostic test.
- If the test passes, reinstall the touchscreen and back panel and continue with installation.
- Reinstall the two touchscreen mounting screws, and the 8 back panel screws.
- If the test fails, please contact Bevi Support at 866-704-2384 (BEVI).
- If the test passes, reinstall the touchscreen and back panel and continue with installation.
