Required Tools
- Phillips Screwdriver (#2)
- Small bucket or collection container.
Before Continuing
During the Install Diagnostics test, the filter should not be installed, and water and CO2 should not yet be turned on. If these steps have already been done:
- Turn off water supply
- Turn off the CO2 tank by rotating the back clockwise until it stops.
- Drain the Buffer tank.
Troubleshooting Steps
Task 1: Repeat the Diagnostic Test
- If the test fails, you can first attempt to restart the diagnostic tests to see if it passes on the second attempt.
- If the test continues to fail, power cycle the Bevi via the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Navigate back through the installation steps to the Install Diagnostic step and repeat the test.
- If the test continues to fail, continue to Task 2.
Task 2: Power Off the Bevi.
- Power off the Bevi using the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the chiller.
Task 3: Remove the chiller from the cabinet.
- Carefully lift the front of the chiller so the locating tabs on the bottom can come up and out of the ventilation holes.
- Slide the chiller forward so the front hangs over the edge of the cabinet.
- Remove the red locking clip and disconnect the 3/8" water supply line from the back of the chiller.
- This step may not be necessary if there is enough slack on the water line to fully remove the chiller without putting tension on the tubing.
- Lifting from the front and the rear grab handle, carefully lift the chiller out of the cabinet and place on the floor.
NOTE: Take care to keep the chiller as flat and level as possible. Excess movement will cause water to slosh out of the ice bank and leak into the base.
Task 4: Remove the right side panel and inspect for leaks
ℹ️ If the chiller was moved or relocated after it was filled, it is possible that water spilled from the ice bank and triggering the leak detector in the base of the chiller, and this could block the compressor from running properly during the diagnostics test.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two screws securing the right side panel of the chiller.
- With the screws fully loosened, lift the panel up and out of the locating tabs at the bottom.
- Place the panel to the side.
- Inspect the base of the chiller for any leaks.
- If there is any water present around leak sensor, it will need to be dried out.
- Reinstall the right side panel and skip to Task 9.
- If no water is present in the base, continue on to Task 5 below.
Task 5: Remove the left side panel.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two screws securing the left side panel of the chiller.
- With the screws fully loosened, lift the front of the panel up, and slide forward to release the rear locating tabs.
- Place the panel to the side.
Task 6: Remove the PCB panel.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the screw securing the PCB panel on the left side of the chiller.
- With the screws fully loosened, lift the panel to release the lower locating tab and remove.
- Place the panel to the side.
Task 7: Inspect the Compressor Power cable.
- In the PCB panel, locate the Compressor power cable on the BUC Board.
- Inspect the demand pump connection.
- Confirm that the cable is connected to the BUC Board.
- Inspect the wires and connector for any loose pins, cuts, or visible damage.
- If there is any damage to the cable or connector, please contact Bevi Support at 866-704-2384.
- Gently disconnect, and reconnect the Pressure Sensor Harness.
- There is a lock latch on the bottom side of the connector that needs to be depressed to disconnect the cable.
- When reconnecting, ensure the connector is fully seated and clicks into place.
Task 8: Reinstall the Chiller.
- Reinstall both side panels, and PCB panel.
- Take care not to pinch any wiring in the panels.
- Ensure the locating tabs slot into place
- Tighten the screws to secure the panels.
- Reconnect the chiller power cord.
- Carefully lift the chiller into place in the cabinet.
- Ensure the locating tabs on the bottom of the chiller fit into the ventilation holes and the chiller sits flush on the base of the cabinet.
- If it was disconnected during removal, reconnect the 3/8" water supply tube.
- Ensure the tubing is fully seated into the push to connect fitting.
- Reinstall the red locking clip.
- Power on the chiller.
Task 9: Repeat the Diagnostic Test
- Once the Bevi starts up, continue through the Install Wizard back to the diagnostics step.
- Rerun the test.
- If the test passes, continue with Installation.
- If the test continues to fail, then it is possible either the demand pump or BUC board is faulty.
