High CO2 Switch Not Detected (CT 1.5 Install Dx Error)

Troubleshooting Steps

Task 1: Repeat the Diagnostic Test

  1. If the test fails, you can first attempt to restart the diagnostic tests to see if it passes on the second attempt.
  2. If the test continues to fail, power cycle the Bevi via the power switch on the front of the chiller.
    1. Navigate back through the installation steps to the Install Diagnostic step and repeat the test.
    2. If the test continues to fail, continue to Task 2.

Task 2: Power Off the Bevi.

  1. Power off the Bevi using the power switch on the front of the chiller.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the chiller.

Task 3: Remove the chiller from the cabinet.

  1. Carefully lift the front of the chiller so the locating tabs on the bottom can come up and out of the ventilation holes.

  1. Slide the chiller forward so the front hangs over the edge of the cabinet.
  2. Remove the red locking clip and disconnect the 3/8" water supply line from the back of the chiller.
    1. This step may not be necessary if there is enough slack on the water line to fully remove the chiller without putting tension on the tubing.

  1. Lifting from the front and the rear grab handle, carefully lift the chiller out of the cabinet and place on the floor.

Task 4: Remove the CO2 panel.

  1. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two screws securing the CO2 panel to the top of the chiller.
  2. With the screws fully loosened, lift the front of the panel up, and slide forward to release the rear locating tabs.
  3. Place the panel to the side.

Task 5: Check the High Side CO2 switch connection.

  1. The High Pressure CO2 Switch has 2 connections.
    1. The High Pressure switch first connects from the CO2 Regulator assembly to the top of the chiller in the CO2 Panel.

  1. Inspect the pressure switch cable. If this cable is not connected or oriented properly, the machine may show a CO2 Leak alert.
    1. Check electrical connection on top of chiller from the CO2 assembly.
    2. Ensure cable is fully seated into the connector with the locking tab facing up .
    3. Inspect the wires and connector for any visible damage or loose pins.
      • If there is any damage to the cable or connector, please contact Bevi Support at 866-704-2384.
    4. If the cable connector was not seated correctly, plug in and power on the chiller after reseating properly, and retest.
      • If the test passes, reinstall the panels and continue with installation.
      • If the test continues to fail, proceed to Task 6.

Task 6: Remove the PCB panel.

  1. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the screw securing the PCB panel on the left side of the chiller.
  2. With the screw fully loosened, lift the panel to release the lower locating tab and remove.
  3. Place the panel to the side.

Task 7: Check the High CO2 Switch Connection at the BUC Board.

  1. Check the High CO2 Switch connection to the BUC Board. If this cable is not connected or oriented properly, the machine may show a CO2 Leak alert.
    1. Ensure cable is fully seated into the connector with the locking tab facing to the left.
    2. Inspect the wires and connector for any visible damage or loose pins.
      • If there is any damage to the cable or connector, please contact Bevi Support at 866-704-2384.
    3. If the cable connector was not seated correctly, plug in and power on the chiller after reseating properly, and retest.
      • If the test passes, reinstall the panels, connect tubing, and continue with installation.
      • If the test continues to fail, proceed to Task 8.

Task 8: Confirm a full CO2 tank was installed.

  1. The High CO2 Switch needs a minimum of 650 PSI to pass the final diagnostic test.
  2. If the diagnostic test continues to fail after checking switch connections, verify tank pressure.
    1. Install a gauge onto the CO2 tank and verify tank pressure is 650 PSI.
    2. If pressure is <650 PSI, install a new CO2 tank.
  3. Repeat the diagnostic test.
    1. If the test continues to fail, contact Bevi Support at 866-704-2384.
    2. If the test passes, continue to task 9.

Task 9: Reinstall the Chiller.

  1. Reinstall the CO2 and PCB panels.
    1. Take care not to pinch any wiring in the panels.
    2. Ensure the locating tabs slot into place.
    3. Tighten the screws to secure the panel.
  2. Reconnect the chiller power cord.
  3. Carefully lift the chiller into place in the cabinet.
    1. Ensure the locating tabs on the bottom of the chiller fit into the ventilation holes and the chiller sits flush on the base of the cabinet.
  4. If it was disconnected during removal, reconnect the 3/8" water supply tube.
    1. Ensure the tubing is fully seated into the push to connect fitting.
    2. Reinstall the red locking clip.
  5. Power on the chiller.

Task 10: Repeat the Diagnostic Test

  1. Proceed through the Installation Wizard back to the Diagnostic Test.
  2. If the test passes, continue with installation.
  3. If the test continues to fail, please contact Bevi Support at 866-704-2384.
