Manifold 2 Removal and Replacement Guide
Part Number: 720-0061
Note: For newer 2.0 models, the Manifold 2 may not have the sensor extension highlighted in red above.
Overview
This document will show you how to remove and replace Manifold 2. Part number 720-0061. Manifold two is responsible for taking the water from the demand pump and sending it to both the hot water heater and also the cold water to the chiller.
Note: This document assumes a tech has already read through the appropriate troubleshoot guide for the issue at hand. If the appropriate troubleshoot guide has not yet been reviewed, please begin there to ensure Manifold 1 is the source of the problem.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is Manifold 2 used for?
- Manifold 2 takes water from the demand pump and sends it to the heater, and the chiller input.
- Manifold 2 also includes the water temperature sensor for incoming source water.
Q. What is connected to Manifold 2
- Source water in from the demand pump and water out to the heater and chiller.
Q. Where is Manifold 2 located
- Manifold 2 is located to the right of the top of the hot water heater and is fastened to the bracket that holds the buffer tank.
Required Tools & Materials
- #2 Stubby Phillips Screwdriver
- Flush cut pliers
- Zip Ties
WARNING: Manifold 2 is located close to the Hot Water Heater. Please use caution when working around the Heater to avoid contacting any hot surfaces
Task 1: Removing Manifold 2 Assembly
- Turn off water source by shutting off the valve on the water supply line until it is perpendicular to the hose.
- Open the door and turn off the buffer tank by shutting off the valve located through the access hole behind the filter.
- From the Troubleshooting Tools menu, dispense cold water to release any pressure from the lines.
- Remove the center portion of the back panel from Bevi Standup 2.0.
- Loosen the 4 screws securing the panel (you do not need to fully remove them).
- Remove the panel by lifting up and unhooking panel tabs from the mounting hardware.
- Disconnect 2 wiring connections for the Hot Water Dispense Solenoid.
WARNING: When removing connectors, never pull directly on the wire. This can result in pulling the wire out of the connector.
- Disconnect the Water Temperature Sensor. For newer 2.0 models, the Manifold 2 may not have the sensor highlighted in red. If the sensor is not present, please skip step #6.
- The Water Temperature Sensor has Blue/Black wires.
- Squeeze the lock latch to disconnect properly.
- Remove Manifold 2 (held by 2 Phillips screws) from the bracket.
NOTE: Removing the Manifold prior to disconnecting tubing allows for easier access to push to connect fittings.
WARNING: Take care not to bend or kink any tubing.
- Disconnect ⅜” input from demand pump and ⅜” output to chiller from Manifold 2.
- Remove the red safety clips.
- Disconnect tubing.
- Remove hot water supply tubing from Manifold 2.
- Cut zip tie securing tubing to barbed fitting.
- Carefully remove tubing from Manifold 2 by gently pulling while twisting back and forth.
WARNING: When removing tubing do not hold the manifold by the solenoid valve.
- Secure Hot water tube in an upright position.
- Once the tubing is disconnected it may drain out if left hanging in a downward orientation. See image below for a convenient spot to hold the tubing.
Task 2: Installing a New Manifold 2 Assembly
- Reconnect 3/8" tubing from pump, and 3/8" tubing to chiller into new manifold.
- Ensure tubing is fully seated into push-to-connect fittings by noting the factory markings on the tube.
- Reinstall red safety clips
- Mount the new manifold 2 onto the bracket.
- Locate rear mounting screw in bracket, then start threading into manifold 2.
- Leave loose until both screws are started.
- Tighten both screws till Manifold 2 is secure.
- Locate rear mounting screw in bracket, then start threading into manifold 2.
- Reconnect hot water tube.
- Secure tube to barbed fitting with clamp.
WARNING: When installing hot water tubing, do not apply excess force to the solenoid valve.
- Note: For older 2.0 models, the Manifold 2 may have the sensor extension highlighted in red below. If so, make sure to reconnect Water Temperature Sensor Connector.
- Ensure that connector clicks into place securely
- Reconnect manifold 2 wiring connections.
NOTE: Solenoid wiring connections do not have any polarity, they can be connected either way.
- Turn on source water and reopen the buffer tank.
-
Check all connections and inspect for leaks.
- From the service panel go to Machine Alerts > Troubleshooting tools
-
Under the “Controls” menu, open the Inlet Solenoid
- Water will now be flowing through the inlet into the machine
-
If there are any leaking fittings, check to ensure all tubes are fully inserted into push to connect fittings.
-
All tubing should have factory marking indicating that it is fully seated
NOTE: If there are any leaks present, power the machine off prior to performing any further service.
-
Test function of the machine to ensure correct installation and operation.
-
Dispense cold, sparkling, and hot water
- If COLD water does not dispense, recheck that all water source valves are turned on.
- If HOT water does not dispense, recheck the solenoid wiring connections for Manifold 2.
-
Dispense cold, sparkling, and hot water
- If the machine is functioning properly, reinstall the back panel.
