Overview
This document will walk you through the step by step process to remove and replace the chiller in a Bevi Standup 2.0.
Required Tools & Materials
- You will need the access codes to enter the machine and service panel
- Number 2 Phillips screwdriver
- Number 3 Phillips screwdriver or ⅜” wrench or socket
- Adjustable wrench (optional)
- Bucket (to drain line pressure)
Task 1: From the Service Panel, access the Troubleshooting Tools menu.
Task 2: Depressurize the water lines.
- Turn off the water supply to the Bevi.
- Close the Buffer Tank.
- With the door open, access the buffer tank valve through the access hole above the filter.
- Turn the valve clockwise to close the buffer tank.
*The valve should be pointed forwards out of the access hole when in the closed position.
- From the Troubleshooting Tools screen, dispense both Cold and Sparkling water.
- Place a small bucket or contain under the dispense nozzle.
- In the lower left corner of the screen, press and hold “Pour” for cold water until no water is dispensing.
- Press and hold “Pour” for sparkling water, until only CO2 is dispensing.
- Turn off the CO2 tank.
- Turn the CO2 tank valve clockwise until it stops.
- From the Troubleshooting Tools screen, press and hold “Pour” for sparkling water until all CO2 pressure is released.
Task 3: Disconnect the Trunk Line from the Chiller Outputs.
NOTE: If you did not depressurize the water lines as instructed in Task 2, the trunk line will still be pressurized and will spray water when disconnected. Make sure Task 2 is fully complete before proceeding.
- Remove the Filter.
- Turn the filter counterclockwise to disconnect, and place to the side.
- Removing the filter allows for easier access to the Trunk Line connections.
- Remove the CO2 tank from the Bevi and place to the side.
- The high pressure CO2 hose does not need to be disconnected from the tank.
- Place the CO2 tank to the side.
🪄 TIP: The CO2 tank can be used to prop the door open while you work.
- Disconnect the Trunk Line from the Chiller.
- Remove the red locking clips from the sparkling out, cold out, and recirculation lines.
- Disconnect the elbows from the push to connect fittings on the chiller.
- Do not disconnect the tubes from the 90* elbow fittings, as the elbows will not fit through the panel when removing the chiller.
- Note the orientation of the tubes for reinstallation.

Task 4: Power off the Bevi Machine.

Task 5: Remove the Chiller from the Bevi.
- Remove the two mounting screws from the front of the Chiller.
- One screw is located just to the left of the chiller output connections.
- The second screw is located on the right side just above the vent.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the mounting screws.
- Place the screws aside in a safe place, they will be reused during reinstallation.
- Roll the Bevi machine out and away from the wall to access the back panels.
- Remove the center and bottom panels from the back of the Bevi.
- Both the center and bottom panels have 4 screws in the corners securing them to the Bevi.

Loosen the 4 screws in the corners of each of the panels.
- The mounting screws do not need to be fully removed.
- Lift the panel up to unhook from the screws, and remove.
- Place the panels to the side.

Disconnect the three input tubes from the top of the Chiller.
- Remove the red locking clips and set to the side.
- Disconnect the Ice Bank Fill, Water In, and CO2 in tubes from the push to connect fittings.

At the base of the chiller, remove the two bottom mounting screws.
- The screws are located at the base of the machine, on either side of the compressor fan.

Use either a #3 Phillips screwdriver or ⅜” wrench to remove the screws.
- Place the screws aside in a safe place, they will be reused during reinstallation.
- Disconnect the Chiller electrical connections.
- There are 3 electrical connections for the Chiller located on the left side of the plumbing shelf.
- 120VAC Power Cable.
- Chiller Sensor Harness.
- 24VDC Recircatator Power Cable.
- Disconnect all three cables.
- The cables have lock latches, press down the latch to release the connector and disconnect.
- There are 3 electrical connections for the Chiller located on the left side of the plumbing shelf.
- Slide the Chiller out of the back of the Bevi.
- Grabbing the top and middle of the Chiller, gently slide it out from the back of the machine.
- Once the Chiller is half way out, you can grab the handles on the sides at the top.
- Completely remove the chiller from the Bevi and place on the floor.
- If the Chiller is being replaced, you will need to drain the ice bank before transporting it.
- Using a transfer pump, drain the water from the ice bank.
- Insert the feed tube from the pump down to the bottom of the ice bank at the center of the coil.
- Pump the water out into a bucket.
- For Gen2 Chillers (white plastic top), there is a dedicated hole for transfer pump tube (pictured below).
- If the same Chiller is being reinstalled, you do not need to drain the ice bank.
- Using a transfer pump, drain the water from the ice bank.
Task 6: Reinstall the Chiller.
- Lift the Chiller by the handles and slide it into the back of the Bevi.
- Once the Chiller is half way back into the machine, you can push it the rest of the way in from the back.
- Reconnect the 3 Chiller electrical connections
- Reconnect the 120VAC Chiller Power Cable.
- Reconnect the Chiller Sensor Harness.
- Reconnect the 24VDC Recircatator Power Cable.
- Ensure all connections are fully seated and lock latches clip into place.
- Reconnect the Chiller Input tubes.
- Reconnect the Water In, CO2 In, and Ice bank Fill Tubes.
- The tubes are all unique sizes, and cannot be connected incorrectly.
- The tubes have insertion depth marks, ensure all tubes are fully seated into the push to connect fittings.
- Reinstall the red locking clips.
- Reconnect the Water In, CO2 In, and Ice bank Fill Tubes.
- Reinstall the two mounting screws at the base of the Chiller.
- You may need to adjust the position of the Chiller slightly to align the mounting holes.
- Use a #3 Phillips screwdriver or ⅜” wrench to tighten the screws.
- At the front of the Bevi, reconnect the Trunk Line tubes.
- From left to right, reconnect the Sparkling Out, Cold Out, and Recirculation Lines.
- Reinstall the red locking clips.
- Reinstall the two front mounting screws.
- Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screws.
Task 7: Power on the Bevi.
- Reconnect the power cord and power on the Bevi.
Task 8: Filling the Chiller.
- Reinstall the filter.
- Lift the filter into the filter head.
- Rotate clockwise and tighten.
- Place the CO2 tank back into the Bevi.
- If the CO2 tank was disconnected, reconnect the high pressure hose and tighten the nut with an adjustable wrench.
- On the screen, navigate back to the Troubleshooting Tools menu.
- Turn on the CO2 tank.
- Turn the tank valve counterclockwise to open the tank.
- Place a bucket or container under the dispense nozzle.
- From Troubleshooting tools, pour sparkling water until CO2 is dispensing from the nozzle.
- Turn on the water supply to the Bevi.
- Open the Buffer Tank.
- Access the Buffer Tank valve through the hole above the filter.
- Rotate the Buffer Tank valve counterclockwise.
- The valve will be pointing to the right of the Bevi when in the open position.
- Fill the Ice Bank.
- Under “Controls”, find the Chiller section.
- Press “Fill Ice Bank”
- The Inlet and Ice Bank Solenoids will open and begin to fill the Chiller.
- While the Ice Bank is filling, inspect the plumbing shelf and base of Chiller at the back of the Bevi for any leaks.
- If there are any leaks, recheck tubing connections.
- Once the Ice Bank is full, the fill solenoid will automatically close.
- The Inlet and Ice Bank Solenoids will open and begin to fill the Chiller.
- Under “Data”, find the Chiller section.
- Verify that Chiller Full states YES.
- Fill the Carbonator.
- In the lower left corner of Troubleshooting Tools, press “Pour” to dispense sparkling water for 5 seconds, then release and wait 20 seconds.
- The Demand Pump will run to attempt to refill the Carbonator.
- Repeat the 5 second dispense with 20 second pause until Carbonator Full switches from NO to YES in the Chiller Data.
- This can take 5-10 cycles to fill.
- In the lower left corner of Troubleshooting Tools, press “Pour” to dispense sparkling water for 5 seconds, then release and wait 20 seconds.
- Dispense COLD water.
- In the lower left corner of Troubleshooting Tools, press “Pour” to dispense cold water to purge any trapped air from the system.
- If any air or cloudy water is dispensed, continue pouring cold water to flush the system.
- In the lower left corner of Troubleshooting Tools, press “Pour” to dispense cold water to purge any trapped air from the system.
Task 9: Test the Compressor function.
- In the Chiller Controls section, turn on the Compressor.
- Verify Compressor Current in the Chiller Data section.
- When the compressor is on, it should read between 2-3.5A.
- If the compressor current is <2A, power off the Bevi and confirm the 120VAC Chiller Power Cable is properly connected.
Task 10: Resolve any Machine Alerts.
- At the top of the Troubleshooting Tools screen, press “Back to Alerts”
- Troubleshoot and resolve any active Machine Alerts.
Task 11: Reinstall the Back Panels.
- Reinstall both panels on the back of the Bevi.
- Tighten the 4 screws for each panel.
Task 12: Launch Incubation
- Navigate back to the Troubleshooting Tools screen.
- In the Controls section under “Modes”, launch Incubation Mode.
- Incubation will run for 1 hour to allow the Chiller to cool.
