Troubleshooting Steps
Task 1: Repeat the Diagnostic Test.
- Restart the diagnostic tests to see if it passes on the second attempt.
-
If the test continues to fail, power cycle the Bevi via the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Navigate back through the installation steps to the Install Diagnostic step and repeat the test.
- If the test continues to fail, continue to Task 2.
Task 2: Power Off the Bevi.
- Power off the Bevi using the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the chiller.
Task 3: Remove the chiller from the cabinet.
- Carefully lift the front of the chiller so the locating tabs on the bottom can come up and out of the ventilation holes.
- Slide the chiller forward so the front hangs over the edge of the cabinet.
-
Remove the red locking clip and disconnect the ⅜” water supply line from the back of the chiller.
- This step may not be necessary if there is enough slack on the water line to fully remove the chiller without putting tension on the tubing.
-
Lifting from the front and the rear grab handle, carefully lift the chiller out of the cabinet and place on the floor.
- Take care to not put any stress or tension on any tubing or electrical connections.
- If needed, disconnect the 24v Head Unit power cable, and Head Unit USB connections from the back of the Compact Chiller.
Task 4: Remove the top panel.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two screws securing the top panel of the chiller.
- With the screws fully loosened, lift the front of the panel up, and slide forward to release the rear locating tabs.
- Place the panel to the side.
Task 5: Remove the PCB panel.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, loosen the two screws securing the PCB panel on the left side of the chiller.
- With the screws fully loosened, lift the panel to release the lower locating tab and remove.
- Place the panel to the side.
Task 6: Inspect the Ice Bank Solenoid wiring connections.
- Locate the Ice Bank Solenoid at the top of the chiller, in the back right corner.
-
Inspect the two wires and connectors for any visible damage or loose connections. .
- If there is any damage to the cable or connector, please contact Bevi Support at 866-704-2384.
-
If the wires are disconnected, reconnect them to the Inlet Solenoid.
- There is no polarity so it does not matter which orientation the wires are connected.
Task 7: Inspect the Inlet Solenoid wiring connections.
- Locate the Inlet Solenoid at the top of the chiller, in the back right corner.
-
Inspect the two wires and connectors for any visible damage or loose connections. .
- If there is any damage to the cable or connector, please contact Bevi Support at 866-704-2384.
-
If the wires are disconnected, reconnect them to the Inlet Solenoid.
- There is no polarity so it does not matter which orientation the wires are connected.
Task 8: Inspect the Valves and Agitator cable connection at the BUC Board.
- Locate the Valves and Agitator connector on the BUC Board.
-
Inspect the Valves and Agitator harness.
- Confirm that the harness is connected to the BUC Board.
-
Inspect the wires and connector for any visible damage or loose pins.
- If there is any damage to the cable or connector, please contact Bevi Support at 866-704-2384.
-
Gently disconnect, and reconnect the Valves and Agitator cable.
- There is a lock latch on the connector that needs to be depressed to disconnect the cable.
- When reconnecting, ensure the connector is fully seated and clicks into place.
Task 9: Reinstall the Chiller.
-
Reinstall the top panel, and the PCB panel.
- Take care not to pinch any wiring in the panels.
- Ensure the locating tabs slot into place
- Tighten the screws to secure the panel.
