- 720-0392 - FRU - LED ASSEMBLY
- Vehicle key or flathead screwdriver
Remove and Replace Procedure
Task 1: Power Off the Bevi
- Power off the Bevi using the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the chiller.
Task 2: Remove the Shell
- Place one hand on the left and one hand on the right of the shell and twist toward one side until the shell releases from the front of the head unit.
- Insert a key or flatheaded screwdriver straight into the shell latch-release hole until the tool stops moving.
CAUTION: It is possible to slip the tool underneath the latch.
- Lift the shell up to remove it from the CT 2.0.
CAUTION: The shell may require some force to remove
Task 3: Remove the Front Housing
- Remove the nozzle shroud.
- Identify the tab extending downward from the nozzle shroud and pull on the tab until the nozzle shroud releases from the front housing.
- Place the nozzle shroud in a safe location.
- Remove the drip tray from the base of the head unit and set it aside.
- Ensure the drip tray and its grate stay together.
- Remove the flavor lines from the locating features on either side of the front housing.
- Disengage the front housing’s snaps.
- There are two sets of snaps - one set on the base of the head unit and another set behind the touchscreen.
- Push on the touchscreen while depressing the touchscreen snaps to disengage the front housing.
- Remove the front housing from the head unit.
- Once the front housing is released from the touchscreen, disengage the lower snaps to release the front housing from the head unit.
- Tilt the front housing forward to assist in removal.
- Lift the front housing up and out from the head unit’s base.
Task 4: Remove the LED Assembly
- The LED assembly is located underneath and behind the nozzle.
- Gently pull the snap holding the LED Assembly in place and remove the LED assembly from its mount.
- CAUTION: The snap is very delicate and can break easily.
- Pinch the cable behind the board connector and gently pull the LED assembly under the nozzle/LED mounting surface until the cable is taut.
- Move the LED assembly to the left side of the head unit to make the cable’s connector accessible.
- Disconnect the cable from the LED assembly by depressing the lock latch and pulling on the connector.
- Dispose of the old LED assembly.
Task 5: Install the New LED Assembly
- Connect the cable to the LED assembly, ensuring the cable’s connector audibly clicks into place.
- Hold the LED assembly with the mounting bracket angled slightly upward and insert the LED assembly’s bracket into the corresponding mounting feature.
- Note: This side of the LED assembly will not snap into place.
- Align the snap feature on the LED assembly with the snap on the mounting surface, then push up until an audible click is heard and the snap engages.
- Inspect the LED assembly to ensure it is correctly seated into its mounting features. When installed correctly, the top of the LED assembly will be flush with the shelf above the mounting surface.
Task 6: Test the LED.
- Plug the power cord back into the compact chiller and turn the chiller on.
- Verify the LED lights up when the chiller and the head unit power on.
- If the LED powers on, power off the chiller and move to Task 7.
- If the LED does NOT power on:
- Verify the cable is fully connected to the LED.
- Verify the cable is fully connected to the HUCB.
Task 7: Reinstall the Front Housing.
- Place the front housing on the base of the head unit.
- There is an alignment rib on the base of the head unit which helps align the front housing onto the base.
- Align the bottom of the front housing with the front housing attachment snaps (labeled E and F) and push the front housing back and down to engage the snaps.
- Attach the front housing to the head unit.
- Visually align the snaps behind the touchscreen.
- Simultaneously pull the touchscreen forward while pushing the front housing backward to engage the mounting snaps.
- Note: the touchscreen may need to be pushed down while connecting the touchscreen and front housing to help engage the mounting snaps.
- Insert the flavor lines back into their routing clips.
- Reinstall the nozzle shroud into the front housing.
- After reinstalling the nozzle shroud, check that the nozzle and all eight flavor injectors are unobstructed by the shroud.
Task 8: Reinstall the Shell
- Loosely place the shell onto the head unit.
- Ensure proper alignment of the hooks on the front of the shell.
- Ensure no cabling or flavor lines are pinched in the shell prior to seating it. Components at risk of being pinched are:
- Flavor lines - pump to nozzle
- Flow meter cable
- Cables from the touchscreen
- Ensure the power cord is effectively routed through the port on the back of the shell.
- Reseat the shell onto the head unit.
- Firmly press on the top of the shell directly above one of the snaps to seat it into the touchscreen.
- Perform the same step on the other side of the shell.
- Ensure the snaps fully click into place.
- Replace the drip tray.
- Power on the chiller and ensure the head unit fully boots up.
