Remove and Replace Procedure
Task 1: Drain and Depressurize the Water System.
- Turn off the water source to the Compact Chiller.
- Locate the shut off valve for the water supply, and turn 90° to the closed position.
- Open the front access panel.
- Turn off the Buffer tank.
- Rotate the shut off valve to the CLOSED position.
- Navigate to the Troubleshooting Tools screen.
- Touch the service icon in the upper left corner.
- Touch "Start Service"
- Enter the PIN to access the service panel.
- On the left side of the screen, touch "Machine Alerts".
- Touch "Troubleshooting Tools"
- Place a container under the nozzle, and pour COLD water until water is no longer dispensing.
- Pour AMBIENT water until water is no longer dispensing.
- Pour SPARKLING water until only CO2 gas is exiting the nozzle.
- Close the valve on the CO2 tank
- Turn the valve on the CO2 tank to the right to close it.
- Dispense sparkling water until CO2 stops exiting the nozzle.
Task 2: Power Off the Bevi
- Power off the Bevi using the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the chiller.
Task 3: Remove the Shell
- Remove the drip tray from the head unit and place it to the side.
- Place one hand on the left and one hand on the right of the shell and twist toward one side until the shell releases from the front of the head unit.
- Insert a key or flatheaded screwdriver straight into the shell latch-release hole until the tool stops moving.
- CAUTION: It is possible to slip the tool underneath the latch.
- Lift the shell up to remove it from the CT 2.0.
CAUTION: The shell may require some force to remove.
Task 4: Remove the Dispense Assembly
- Remove the nozzle shroud.
- Identify the tab extending downward from the nozzle shroud.
- Pull on the tab until the nozzle shroud releases.
- Disconnect the valve cable from the HUCB.
- The cable’s connector has a lock-latch on one side of it.
- Fully depress the lock-latch to release the connector from the board.
- Remove the valve cable’s slack from its routing tabs.
- Remove the large plastic nozzle clip.
- Take care not to catch any tubes or cables while removing the nozzle clip.
- Remove the nozzle from the cross mount holding it in place.
- Create slack in the flow sensor cable.
- The cable is located on the left hand side of the touchscreen.
- Remove the dispense assembly from the head unit.
- Use the handle on the dispense assembly to pull the dispense assembly out of the head unit.
- The dispense assembly may be pushed from the opposite side to aid in removal.
Note: The dispense assembly may require some force to remove.
- Create slack in the hot water tube.
- The hot water tube is held in place by a hook behind the head unit’s LED.
- Remove the nozzle assembly from the dispense assembly.
- Push and hold the push-to-connect elbow fitting on top of the nozzle assembly.
- Pull on the nozzle assembly to remove it from the dispense assembly.
- Disconnect the water dispense lines from the solenoid valves.
Task 5: Install the New Dispense Assembly
- Unpackage the new dispense assembly.
- Reinstall the water dispense lines into the dispense assembly.
- Each water type is molded into the dispense assembly behind the solenoid valve, and corresponds with the labeled dispense lines.
Note: There is a silver mark on the water dispense lines to indicate insertion depth.
- Install the nozzle onto the dispense assembly with the hot water barb facing to the right hand side of the head unit.
- Install the dispense assembly into the head unit.
- Align the dispense assembly with the tracks at the top of the pump towers.
- The dispense assembly will click into place once it is fully seated.
CAUTION: Ensure the flow sensor cable does not get tangled around the dispense assembly or LED mount.
- Mount the nozzle onto its cross mount.
- Reinsert the nozzle clip onto the LED mount.
- Take care not to pinch any cabling or tubes when reinstalling these components.
- Reroute the hot water tube into the hook behind the LED mount.
- Take care not to introduce excessive tension to the hot water tube.
- Connect the valve cable to the HUCB.
- Route the valve cable through its appropriate routing features.
- Ensure the connector clicks into place and is seated properly.
- Wrap the excess flow sensor cable around the mounting hook on the back of the touchscreen.
- Ensure the flow sensor cable is properly routed through its routing features on the pump towers and that the cable is not excessively strained.
- Reinstall the nozzle shroud.
- After installing the nozzle shroud, check that the nozzle and all eight flavor injectors are unobstructed by the shroud.
Task 6: Test for Leaks
- Reconnect the chiller’s power cord.
- Turn on the main water line to the Compact Chiller.
- Power on the chiller.
- The demand pump in the Compact Chiller should turn on and water will fill the dispense lines.
- Inspect all tubing and fittings to ensure there are no leaks present.
- If there are leaks, turn off the water supply and power off the chiller.
- Inspect all fittings to ensure tubing connections are fully seated.
- If no leaks are present, continue to Task 7.
Task 7: Reinstall the Shell
- Loosely place the shell onto the head unit.
- Ensure proper alignment of the hooks on the front of the shell.
- Ensure no cabling or flavor lines are pinched in the shell prior to seating it.
- Ensure the power cord is routed through the port on the back of the shell prior to seating it.
- Reseat the shell onto the head unit.
- Reseat one side of the head unit by pulling gently on both the top of the shell and the top of the touchscreen to seat the small tab and repeat for the other side.
- Inspect the seams of the CT 2.0 head unit for misalignment or large gaps.
- Replace the drip tray.
Task 8: Test the Bevi Machine
- Test the functionality of the Bevi machine to ensure that your issue has been resolved.
- Resolve any alerts that may have fired before returning the machine to the dispense UI.
- Ensure all three valves are dispensing water as expected.
