Split Nut Remove & Replace, Countertop 2.0

Procedure

Task 1: Remove the Split Nut

  1. Locate the split nut securing the head unit to the countertop.
  2. Twist the split nut counterclockwise to loosen it from the threaded coupler.

  1. Once the split nut is off the coupler, slide the two halves vertically past one another to separate them, and remove it from the trunk line.

Task 2: Install the Split Nut

  1. Fit the two halves of the split nut around the smooth area at the bottom of the coupler, and slide them vertically back together.
  2. Turn the split nut clockwise up the coupler until it is secure and tight against the underside of the mounting surface.
