Remove and Replace Procedure
Task 1: Power Off the Bevi
- Power off the Bevi using the power switch on the front of the chiller.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the chiller.
Task 2: Remove the Shell
- Place one hand on the left and one hand on the right of the shell and twist toward one side until the shell releases from the front of the head unit.
- Insert a key or flatheaded screwdriver straight into the shell latch-release hole until the tool stops moving.
CAUTION: It is possible to slip the tool underneath the latch.
- Lift the shell up to remove it from the CT 2.0.
CAUTION: The shell may require some force to remove.
Task 3: Remove the Dispense Assembly
- Remove the nozzle shroud from the front housing.
- Disconnect the valve cable from the HUCB.
- Note or take a picture of the cable’s routing prior to disconnecting it.
- Fully depress the lock-latch to release the connector from the board.
- Remove the cable’s slack from its routing features.
- Remove the nozzle clip.
- Remove the nozzle from the cross mount holding it in place.
- Slide two fingers behind the nozzle and gently pull toward the touchscreen until the nozzle releases from the cross mount.
- Disconnect the flow sensor cable from the HUCB.
- Depress and hold the lock latch to release the connector from the HUCB.
- Remove the cable from its routing features.
- Create slack in the hot water tube.
- The hot water tube is held in place by a hook behind the head unit’s LED.
- Take care not to pull on other cables or tubes.
- Remove the dispense assembly from the head unit.
- Use the handle on the dispense assembly to pull it out of the head unit.
- The dispense assembly may be pushed from the opposite side to aid in removal.
Task 4: Remove the Nozzle Assembly
- Remove the nozzle assembly’s 90° push-to-connect fitting from the dispense assembly.
- Remove the hot water tube from the nozzle.
- Use one hand to pull and twist the hot water tube to remove it and the other hand to provide support to the nozzle.
- Remove the flavor lines from the nozzle.
- Pinch the flavor line as close to the flavor injector as possible.
- Take care not to pull the flavor lines off of the flavor injectors.
Task 5: Install the New Nozzle Assembly
- Unpackage the new nozzle assembly.
- Install the flavor lines into the nozzle.
- Ensure the hot water barb is facing toward the RIGHT of the head unit when viewed from the touchscreen face.
- Verify all flavor injectors are present in the ends of the flavor lines.
- When viewed from the touchscreen face of the head unit, flavor lines 1-4 are installed on the RIGHT side of the nozzle, and 5-8 on the LEFT side of the nozzle.
- Install the nozzle assembly on the dispense assembly.
- Fully seat the push-to-connect elbow fitting onto the dispense assembly.
- Connect the hot water tube to the nozzle.
- Route the hot water tube on the outside of the Ambient dispense line.
- Use a pushing and twisting motion to install the hot water tube.
- Ensure the hot water tube is fully seated on the barb.
- Reinstall the dispense assembly into the head unit.
- Align the plastic valve carrier with the tracks at the top of the pump towers.
- Push the dispense assembly into the head unit.
- The dispense assembly will click into place.
CAUTION: Ensure the flow sensor cable does not get tangled around the dispense assembly or LED mount.
- Reinstall the nozzle onto its cross mount.
- Reinsert the nozzle clip.
- Take care not to pinch any cabling or tubes when reinstalling these components.
- Reroute the excess hot water tube into the hook behind the LED mount.
- Take care not to introduce excessive tension to the hot water tube.
- Reconnect the valve cable to the HUCB.
- Route the valve cable through its appropriate routing features.
- Ensure the connector clicks into place and is seated properly.
- Route the flow sensor cable through its routing features to get to the HUCB.
- Connect the flow sensor cable to the HUCB.
- Ensure the connector clicks into place and is fully seated on the HUCB.
- Take care not to introduce excessive tension to the flow sensor cable.
- Reinstall the nozzle shroud.
- After reinstalling the nozzle shroud, check that the nozzle and all eight flavor injectors are unobstructed by the shroud.
Task 6: Test for Leaks
- Reconnect the chiller’s power cord.
- Power on the chiller.
- The demand pump in the Compact Chiller should turn on and water will fill the dispense lines.
- Inspect all tubing and fittings to ensure there are no leaks present.
- If there are leaks, turn off the water supply and power off the chiller.
- Inspect all fittings to ensure tubing connections are fully seated.
- If no leaks are present, continue to Task 7.
Task 7: Reinstall the Shell
